I was raped by my stepfather and if not for the strength of the Lord I would not be here, My mother is dieing from Aids and if not for the strength and comfort I found in his word I would not have made it through that, my brother-in-law raped my daughter in my house if not for the strength I have in him I would have killed him instead of forgiving him, I would not have the strength to admit that here on this site if God wasn't here with me, if not for God and my faith in him when my husband and I both lost our jobs as many others did after 9/11 and we were evicted and lost everything we would not have had the strength to stand, and first and far most if not for the God that I love and serve when two different doctors told me I would never have a child I would have given up and lost my faith and I would not have the 2 children that he blessed me with..... I don't blame God for the things that went wrong in my life BUT I THANK HIM, GLORIFY HIM, PRAISE HIM, STAND BECAUSE OF HIM, AND LOVE HIM FOR ALL THE MANY WAYS HE BROUGHT ME OUT OF THOSE SITUATIONS WITHOUT A BLIMISH OR SCAR!!! I did not sale my body to get my bills paid because I waited on the Lord, I did not curse his name when my mother got sick because the choices she made and the enemy she chose to serve at that time put her in that death bed and God is the reason why she has not taken HIV medication but ten years later she is still here!!! So you can find fault in him if you chose but I know him have faith in him and serve him I know through it all he has never left my side but if I only believe he will bring me out on top of every situation! So may be if everyone would stop practicing hate, doubting him, not believing in him, and forsaking him put these keyboards down and lift his name up and pray for the afflictions you are speaking of may be just may be if it is his will he will stop those things but, I guess most of you will never know if he will because you are too bust searching for ways to disprove him.... Amen, Thank you Jesus and goodnight I am going to go pray!!!!

It depends on what you believe to be true. According to the Torah, the Divine created *everything*, as No Thing but the Divine existed before (except, in some traditions, the "Blind God"). Strictly speaking, both "good" and "evil" were created by the Divine. Therefore, the Divine does not "permit wickedness," but rather created it.

Also, one of the recurring themes in religions stemming from Judaism (i.e. Christianity and Islam)--as well as similar religions--is the theme that the Divine sees the entire picture. Humans, at best, can see a speck of that picture. So the better question would be, "Is it truly wickedness that we see?"

Note that my answer is not to condemn any faith but rather add fuel to the fires of discourse. It is best to form an educated opinion only after reviewing multiple sides of an issue.

God is Love and is all Loving. He cases a sinner who does not want to repent and turn away from sin, and Blesses one who sins not. Psalms 1 vs 1-6. God hates sin but you know He gave powers to the devil to rule the earth and later on says everyone who overcomes sin shall inherit His Kingdom. GOD IS LOVE 1 John 4 vs 16.

there is light & dark in the world, God created them both. It is what we chose in this life to walk in, the light or the dark.It is a choice you make. God did not create wickedness, man did thru the hardening of his heart and sin also.
Draw close to God & He will draw close to you, You can find out about His nature by reading about His mercy & grace, in God's word.

God does not interfer with life that much...Thats why He gave us brains and the ability to think and take decisions for ourselves

Of course, If God interfered with our lives in every aspect of it, the world would be always peaceful and everyone would be loving and caring to each other...

You'll ask "why doesn't he interfer then?" Because it's up to us to choose our destiney, whether do good and go to Heaven, or do bad and go to Hell

What God permits is free will. He wants you to obey him and stay clear from all wickedness, but it is your choice. He will not force you to love him, but he does want your love.

God doesn't permit it. He loves each person enough to give them the option of choosing to be bad or choosing to be good. He even helps us choose if we ask. I believe it breaks His heart when we hurt each other, but He loves us anyway. And He's one-hundred percent by our side when we're healing from those hurts.
