wonder how you got to be where you are now? Without aim or purpose, each of us would be like a ship on an ocean without a rudder. We would drift aimlessly about, taking whatever comes our way, whether we want it or not. But having a purpose and fulfilling it is a necessity. Accepting our purpose in life gives rise to an expansion of consciousness within us, which in turn brings about change in our mental, emotional and environmental condition corresponding to the inner change.
From the number of posts on this forum that don't base their knowledge or accomplishments on " faith " , what do you believe brought you to this place in time in your life? In order for you to believe in your possibilities, what keeps you going on, where do you get your motivation from?

Yes, you suddenly get an acute awareness of yourself, and you start to notice how segregated your mental self is from your phisical, you somtimes laugh because you just notice who you are, and you see your life past and present, and you look at yourself from a different vantage point, and you smile, knowing how aware you have come of yourself.

Sure I wonder how I got here. This is not what I thought my life would be like at this age. What brought me here was some wrong choices and an inner strength that has served me well. Even when I was falling apart, I still got up and faced the day, because I had to. There were, and are, basics that we cannot ignore. I have a child who depends on me. I don't need faith to know that. There is only one being that I put my faith in, that is me. To do otherwise is extremely stupid. My motivation comes from self preservation and respect for myself. My self worth is not determined by another person, nor can anyone diminish the respect that I have for myself. People let you down, I have found myself to be reliable and resilient. I will continue to survive because that is what I know how to do.

Not everyone is motivated by Faith, some are my money, some by family, some just go like a toy that you wind up. Some times people believe in themselves not a higher being. Also there are some people out there that are like ships with out rudders. They just go through the motions of life and have no idea what their purpose in life is. I know it is sad but this world is made up of all kinds of people with all kinds of beliefs and disbelief's. Just remember if God made us all the same what a boring world this would be. I believe we all have a destiny, and some of us do not realize it until late in life some do not realize it at all. This is something called Life it is unpredictable and surprising every day. If you know what your purpose in life is that is wonderful but realize not all are as lucky as you.

The universe exists, life exists, things happen, we got here.

Just because we don't derive our purpose and meaning from some father figure in the sky doesn't mean we don't have purpose and meaning. We invent it ourselves and we borrow it from our society.

It is a myth that people are taught in church that without the power of some particular religion that you are lost and aimless. NOT TRUE. It is a lie that you have been programmed with.

Life is it's own purpose.
