A descent wedding? If you have it on ski slope?

A decent wedding - including food and dresses etc, about $6000. Depends on the number of guests, if you have a three course sit down dinner or a buffet, an open bar or a paying bar etc.
Bear in mind that most of your friends will hate you if they have to pay for their own drinks!

Ours was about $8,000 for everything..even with having the top caterer in town. We opted for a small guest list and a lot of DIY projects. I used in-season flowers (peonies and hydrangeas for May), chose the buffet vs. sit-down and held everything at a local nature preserve for a small fee. It had the look and feel of a fancy garden party and everyone thought we spent a lot more than we did. You can have a great wedding for a lot less than what many people spend if you know a few tricks and tips!

You don't need money for a descent wedding. All you need is a loving, caring future spouse, family and friends. That's it.

it depends on your definition of decent. i only plan on spending at most 5000 dollars, including honeymoon. however i'm taking car of alot of the details like favors, clothing and invitations myself. however my wedding is fairly small (50-60 guests tops), and family and friends are helping put things together as well. if you don't mind doing this, than you can save a bundle...leaving more for the honeymoon. plus it can help get everyone involved in the fun of plannning your wedding! think that they're kind of like wedding planners, only they're not strangers.

The average US wedding costs 20k+...you can do something nice for 100 people with 15-20k...the more people, the more the price will go up. I have seen extravagent weddings that cost upwards of 100k...

$10,000 but it all depends on what things you wanna have on your wedding day though. Some people may save on the gown, or if decent decoration is fine for you, you may save a lot too.

Just be happy to have a groom there. That's decent enough for most women! LOL
