Well if you have a oven you can toast it that way. And if you don't know how to toast bread in the oven I'll tell you: you want to butter one side of the piece of bread, put it in the oven on broil and watch the bread.

If you have an electric oven lay bread flat on the burners.
You need to watch so as not to burn it. I do it all the time and I have two toasters! Have fun.

You can use the broiler (flip it), but it goes from raw to burnt VERY quickly--keep a close eye on it. Quite a waste of energy, too. Buy a toaster if you plan on doing this more than once.

Of course broil on the oven, George Forman grill makes great grill cheeses & will toast bread, butter it then fry it, my fav. clothes iron (ever see Benny & June).

You could put the oven on low, put the bread in it but you must keep an eye on it so it doesnt get burnt.

take a pan heat ii on low fire for a while place the slices of bread on it when one side is slightly golden brown turn over and on the same low heat lightly brown the other side , remember nobutter or oil to be added to the pan.

smear butter(lil bit)on both sides
heat a pan till its hot.put bread on it, put gas on sim and press down the bread.repeat on both sides.
the bread will become crisp and toast like and much tastier.

put it on a cookie sheet turn oven on broil, put cookie sheet in oven, leave oven door open, when it looks toasted take it out and flip it over and repeat on other side. it won't take long though and it is easy to burn it so you gotta watch it close like
