Roll a half of can of can biscuits together, drop them in boiling chicken broth, they are done in about 30 min. I cook my chicken first of course as the broth is you base, also, I add a chicken boulion (sp) cube in with the chicken, then remove the chicken, roll can buscuit dough in to balls & drop them in the boiling chicken broth, after dumplings have cooked for about 30 min. add the chicken. The best thing served with chicken & dumplings is cornbread. You know the hard, crusty kind. That is so delicious.

I use the bisquick dumpling recipe that is on the box.
When I make Chicken and Dumplings I use a large stock pot and spoon out the dumpling mixture into the simmering chicken gravy/broth, the bigger scoop you spoon into the sauce the bigger the dumpling will be, you just have to simmer longer to make sure they cook all the way through.
Dumplings tend to increase in size when they are dropped in to cook also.

Mix eggs(2-3), flour, and 0ne tablespoon of milk for each egg in a bowl until the batter is very difficult to stir. Keep adding flour to the mixture to get this thick consistency. Drop large spoonfuls of the mixture into boiling water. Cook for 5 minutes or so. Drain off water and enjoy with salt and butter.

Make them like regular dumplings, but increase the amount of batter you use.

well you just shape them that way if your making them from scratch instead of making them into balls or whatever roll em up in between your hands long like a noodle and then boil em and they will be the size of a hot dog bun if you make them with canned biscuits then roll two of them with a rolling pin together and roll it long ways the same way as b/4 bon appetite ~Chef Abby
