I am really concerned about my pastor's wife. Pastor's wives are really supposed to be a different kind of person... more loving, patient, kind and helpful to the ppl of the church. For years she has been hard, cold and very cliquish... she loves to be in her little click and she is like 50 y/o. She is no kid, so she knows better. The hardest part of all is that she can't seem to stand me b/c I am sweet to her and it seems to make her be more & more hateful to me. Hard to believe she is a preacher's wife. She has many ppl she is nice to, but I am not one of them. She definitely has some issues. I pray God can help her change her heart & ways... it is hard to see this go on in our wonderful church. My dh says he knows for a fact that the pastor knows this goes on & turns a blind eye. I don't want to believe that b/c he is such a wonderful, humble man... but I wish he would step up to the plate & speak w/ her about her attitudes. What to do!? Definitely pray more for sure!

You already answered your question. Prayer is always the answer. Maybe instead of praying for God to change her, you should try praying for him to change you so that your not so bothered by this. David was a good example of this when you think about his relationship with Saul. He said that no one should touch the anointed of God. So just put faith in the fact that God is still on the throne and still the head of the church. Do what you should do and try not to spend so much energy on what others do. I realize that you are obviously hurt, but that is just a trick to try to get your eyes off of God don't let it get you. All things work together for good for those who Love God. So its in His hands and He is big enough to handle it.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you....And keep praying for Her and don't Let Her self consumed ways change the way you fill about Church....She is only one person....Not an army...She has been placed their to take your attention off of the Lord and own to Her....Don't be blinded by Her ways....And distractions....

I totally agree with you in one way...but the answer is not just stay away from her.
If you attend church regularly there may be no way to stay away from certain people
especially pastors wives. They seem to be everywhere. What if part of your ministry is
spent around the pastors wife and you have no choice but to be around her. Anyone
with a troublesome situation should be counseled to pray for the person in question.
Maybe God allowed her to see this woman as she is, so she would pray for her. The
answer is not always to ignore the issue. There may be times when God will separate you from a person, job or even a church but He will not ask us to not care
or try to reach out to that person in prayer. If she continues to be mean spirited, as
my pastors wife seems to be, then she alone will answer to God. If she is like that to
me, I'm probably not the only one. The problem is in her, not in me. I really think some pastors wives have driven some people away, but everyone is afraid to say
anything. We should not just try to ignore some things....maybe we need to speak
up. But if its just a personality clash, we must pray for things to change.

Secretly write her name on a name tag and place it where she sits in church. Consider this the seat of a hypocrite.
