Yes, I do. I have a half brother that I have not seen since our father's funeral in 1992. I'd like to know him, but his mother doesn't reply when I've mailed her letters in the past. Maybe when he is older... Just make a list of questions, simple things like are you married, kids, job, anything that will help break the ice. You might find out that you have a great deal in common.

I think it would answer a lot of questions you've lived w/ through your life. It could also be disappointing too. But I would do it. There's a connection there regardless of the 40 yr absence

Why not, they are just people, they have the same desires, the same wants, the same fears, the same questions, they are just like you, they are just like me, they are just like everybody on this earth. Embrace them , smile with them, laugh with them, enjoy them, eat with them, sing with them, and in the end you will feel good that you made the connection. It is the connection we have with others that make life enjoyable. Have fun!!!!!!!!!!!! PS , I was seperated from my 7 Sisters and 2 brothers for 20 years, I made the connection and I am Happy I did, May you be Happy and Well.
