Aruba is a 32 km long island of the Lesser Antilles in the Caribbean Sea, 27 km north of the Paraguaná Peninsula, Falcón State, Venezuela, and it forms a part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Unlike much of the Caribbean region, it has a dry climate and an arid, cactus-strewn landscape. This climate has helped tourism as visitors to the island can reliably expect warm, sunny weather. It has a land area of 193 km².

Aruba is a sunny climate, making it a year-round paradise. The average temperature is 82º, with cool and refreshing trade winds. Aruba is outside the hurricane belt, so rainfall is very moderate, and tropical storms and hurricanes are rare. The wind does blow in Aruba most of the time. It is a light breeze that you will appreciate while out sun bathing or walking around. If you like to sun bathe and swim please take sun screen. The sun in Aruba is very strong. Even if you tan in a tanning bed or have a great tan when you get there. We have been to Aruba 5 times and I tan most of the year. We were in the water 25 minutes the first day and I was red by night fall. You don't even know you are burning until it is too late. This is where the light breeze comes in you are not hot and you don't realize how hot you really are. Please take sun screen you will be glad you did. I hope you have a wonder trip to Aruba is a beautiful island and I have never had a bad or scary experience while in Aruba.
