I don't care if I'm a minute, or half a minute from death - I'm not compromising my mind.

'God' is a sky fairy.

We do not know when death will take us. So many (that I know) have been told: "Oh, you have probably till Christmas." Well. NOT. I didn't even know that my daughter's friend's mother was sick let alone DEAD! I was so shocked! I thought, what was it, a freak accident? Is my daughter making this up? Is my daughter's friend making this up? You have no idea how weird I felt phoning up the grandmother to ask if her daughter had died.

YOu know, time goes by for me. This was a person I saw on occasion, maybe four or five times a year (it was more often when they lived in town). She was mis-diagnosed, and within one month of the proper diagnosis, she was gone. I don't know if having a proper diagnosis would have saved her life. She was pretty far gone by the time she went in with stomach problems. So for me, it seemed as if she went fast. I do not know if she had any faith or not, for we were not close, although our daughters were.

I guess I didn't answer your question.
They say when you are about to die, your entire life flashes before your eyes. Within that time, your life is seen in every detail, and you see it for what it is worth and the things you probably shouldn't have done. For the bad things, if you have the merest regret for them before you die, you are ... (hm, I don't know how to put the next word without it sounding religious) redeemed. I think the condition of your heart, no matter what you believe, shines through. If you are irrevocably bad, and have no sorrow or regret for the bad things and are utterly rebellious to the end, well, I cannot say, for I've never heard a story like that. I'll keep my ear to the ground.

I maybe 2 months out...but docs say it is more like 18 moths to 2 years. And no, I don't believe in god or gods.

Oh I feel so sorry for those who don't know God. I don't beleive there is a God - I KNOW God is there. Watching us, guideing us, Loving us from not far off! He cares about us each and every one. He is saddened when we won't listen or when we make the wrong choices! He loves us - He is our Father in Heaven. And for those who are too pridefull to beleive, well They will have a bit of a surprise when they leave this mortal life and find their spirit has been left hanging, so to speak, because they wouldn't listen to that still small voice that would have guided them to him. Whether you beleive in him or not He is there!

It's really easy for some to say God isn't real when death isn't imminent, but I really wonder what will go through their minds when the time comes. Many would say they still wouldn't believe, but they really can't say that for a fact until that moment actually arrives.

I wish I knew this person because I would tell them to ask God for forgiveness and to except Jesus into their heart. I couldn't let someone leave this world without telling them about the love of God.

Are you saying that death scares people into becoming religious? And if so, is that really the best reason to believe in something?

So what, you'd have to believe in the forces pulling on you like 'good' or 'evil'. I understand that people dont have all the answers, but to believe in the bible story? Please? Those good and evil forces are nonsense....be accountable to yourself....you'll be stronger for it. Takes courage.
