The question is clear enough. Australians universally have condemned Hiliali & his remarks about women. Is this comdemnation seen as an attack on Islam ? If so, what could be the ramifications of this attack ?

Yes, al-Hiliali’s views deserve severe condemnation. But you don’t have to look very far to find remarkably similar sentiments amongst some Christian preachers.
