yes, dual = low end products
as far as their dvd players (as well as all their products), they're cheap for a reason. but in all honesty, as long as you treat the in dash dvd player well it will last. no, it will not give as much juice to your speakers as it claims to, and most likely the quality of the picture will be less than stellar, and im sure it might end up giving you a hassel in actually playing dvd's the way it should down the line.
if you can wait a while longer to save up for a quality in dash dvd player, you should do it. however, if you *must* get the cheaper dual brand one, just play it safe and be cautious with it. and yes, try to get the best warrenty you can. at the very worst case scenario, you could pay 50 or more so dollars for a warranty, and if you keep destroying it, keep getting new ones. at least that way you stick it to the store for selling it to you. but my guess is that it will last you as long as you need it to, but you'll probably be unhappy about its performance (at least when you compare it to a better brand)

Dual is a halfway decent company. Now as far as their screens I would recommend getting any sort of warranty you can get on it (perfomance coverage) that a lot of stores are now offering. I've been selling car audio and installing for quite some time and I've seen my share of screens screw up (from the display, to the motors, etc) and not just the cheaper ones, all of them, but if you get a good protection plan on it then you'll be okay, regardless of what happens (unless you just get pissed and rip the screen off, lol) Hope this helps.

Dude, Dual is what you get is what you pay for... they make some bad lookin things like the blue leds in the speakers but honestly when it comes to car audio, no one is going to look at your speakers and say "those are bad ***, even though they sound like ****..." lol. Spend the extra bucks and go with a reliable brind (Alpine, Rockford, JL, JBL... etc etc.) Please take my advice and dont waste your time and money on them...

Could be if you are using a disc that you burned yourself, that the songs are in a format that your CD player does not recognize. Unless the CD player specifies, they dont play WMA or MP3 files.
