OK, lets say I am neurotic here......to those who say god has no gender then why does the bible always say 'he' or 'his' or 'him'......or is this just yet another mistranslation that X-tians choose to believe?

I would not call it blasphemous but it sure shows a Jezebel spirit. Radical feminist would love to make GOD female...but they sure do not mind keeping satan male.

Please remember that by GOD being referred to as male nor Jesus as the SON of GOD, that does not devalue women or make them second class as they too are children of GOD and HE loves each of us equally. GOD is not a respecter of persons and that includes gender. He created men and women to compliment each other...not to have a battle of the sexes and when we work together, we can do far more then either of us can alone.

Why would a god be either or any sex? If there is only one, what difference does it make? To be any either sex implies there are at least two – so God would have had parents. But that would mean that there was something(s) before there was god, so how can god be god if he is a He or a She?

The bible always says he because men are the ones who made the whole thing up and men wrote the bible. Look at the Catholic Church where women have no power role.

God has no gender because God doesn't reproduce. The reason why the Bible uses He is because it was a ploy to assert power and dominance over women. Plus He has 2 letters, She has 3. Now if you're a scribe and you have to make 100 copies of the Bible, one letter less is a LOT because you'll be repeating that over and over again til your hands fall off and then 99 more copies to go.

Of course no.
GOD is not a man neither a woman, HE has no flesh an cannot be seen. He is the total of all the creation, he is everything.
In the old BIBLE of the Jews (TORAH), GOD appears sometimes as a man and sometimes as female. This is only HIS appearance to humans, but HE the GOD is neither a man nor a woman.

Not at all. But some folks are really peeved at the suggestion. A while ago I posted the question, "What if God had sent his only DAUGHTER?" and there were many folks who thought I was either joking or just trying to peeve people off. Guess you can't go off script in modern Christianity.........

Why does God need a gender? And if God was female wouldn't the flesh version of God which is Jesus be female to be accurate? And since Jesus calls God "Father" I think it rules out the whole female questioning.

its also blasphemous to say that G-d is a male.

EDIT

G-d is referred to as "he" because hebrew doesn't have a neutral he/she gender. they had to pick one and since the default gender is always "he"... and since ancient culture was patriarchal and male-centred... that made a big difference too on whether he or she would be used

as a matter of fact, there are feminine aspects of G-d described in the bible. the "shechinah" aspect of G-d (divine presence) mentioned many times in the bible is feminine.

but no, giving a gender to G-d is giving him physical characteristics, and so thats blasphemous. G-d is incorporeal.

No more blasphemous than saying that God is Male. God is neither male or female, God is beyond our understanding.

God is both male and female in my opinion. It is just as appropriate to say "She" as "He" when referring to God. The Bible was written by a male-dominated society, and they suppressed the feminine aspect of God.

Possibly, but I don't care.

I've been open to the possibility God is Female, Black, Red, Yellow, Brown, Spirit, Corporial, etc.
