tell me if knbowledge about swimming is necessary
is there a post which does not need knowledge of swimming

Sorry, The ONLY requirement for the Indian Navy is that you must know how to swim. There is no posts that do not require this. Ted Kennedy is available for drunk swimming lessons if you want to contact him.

visit UPSC website where you will get all the information as to qualifications , physical requirements , age criteria etc.
As far as swimming is concerned i guess it will be necessary despite the fact that there are various wings in the Indian Navy , otherwise it would be just like asking a chef if he knows how to chop !

YOU CAN GO TO INDIAN NAY THROUGH NDA OR DIRE CLY. THERE IS NO NEED OF SWIMMING EXPERIENCE.
