I hope you are talking about oatmeal- which should stay the same. Other cereals like Kashi, Total, All Bran, they are made to be served cold-

Mmmm. Not sure. I think it will retain all the fiber, but cooking *breaks down* fiber -- so they'd be smaller. And maybe not as useful.

If you are talking the difference between microwave oatmeal and stove-top oatmeal, I don't think it makes a difference to the fiber content or quality. Only, if a quick cooking time makes you more likely to choose oatmeal instead of Cap'n Crunch, then I think the microwave is the way to go.

No, the fibre will still be there, it will just be softer, plumped up and no longer crunchy. Oatmeal still has all the fibre it had before you cooked it but you just don't feel it any more because it absorbed some liquid and plumped up

i don't think so it's in the grain of the cereal..
it's nice to know i'm not the only one who loves there cereal and milk warmed up...i hate it with cold milk , people always use to look at me like i was wierd or something ...lmao....... :o)
