Nope, eggs are nature's perfect food.

And there is no evidence that dietary cholesterol affects blood cholesterol.

Enjoy your eggs.

It's not harmful, but if you're in a restricted diet, it's best to go with 1 whole egg and mix in some egg whites. Eggs have gotten a bad rap because many believe they contribute to high cholesterol, but I've read numerous articles and studies that oppose that.

When I was on a high cal diet to gain weight, I ate 8-10 whole omega-3 eggs for a couple of months. I went from 140 to 165 in that time frame with minimal fat gain and pretty much no change in my cholesterol level. Now I eat 2 whole eggs and 2 egg whites every day.

Yes, this is a lot of high cholesterol that clogs arteries. Eggs contain omega 3 but you can get that from other foods that are not so high is bad fats. I believe recommended intake of eggs is 3 or 4 times a week not 3 a day. You should double check with your doctor.

Each egg contains approximately 200 mg of cholesterol. Because of this doctors advised that we limit our egg consumption. Recently, they stated that the cholesterol in eggs does not influence serum cholesterol levels. However, I am not convinced and would still impose a limit of 4 eggs per week, until it is reliably determined that dietary cholesterol does not affect serum cholesterol.
