I also was wondering is it normal for my stomach to crap sometimes. I also was wondering if it's normal for it to feel like its still kind of hard to get the foods I do eat down. I'm on semi solid foods now. If so will that change?

Registered Nurse here; Hun providing you haven't had a complication, you should of returned to normal eating pattern with in 3 days. Yes it is very normal for your stomach to cramp after this procedure, sometimes it will crap for days. Make sure and observe that your having normal regular bowel movements. Increase solid food gradually, if tolerated well then add additional solid foods. As for as having trouble getting food down, your probably having some pain, like the cramping, this alone will decrease your appetite. Here's some foods that usually help: Rice, Puddings, Jellos, Potatos, Potatoe soups, chicken noodle soups, saltine crackers, Green Tea, or Regular unsweetened tea. Sugar sort of hard to digest if stomach real uneasy. Thanks for the opportunity to address your question. Speedy recovery to you.

It all depends on what type of laproscopic surgery you had done. If you had banding or bypass type of surgery, only your doctor can tell you what you can and cannot eat and when.
For other type of laproscopic surgeries, you should be OK to resume your regular diet in just a few days.
Either way, ask your doctor.

I'm sure your Doctor told you when you can start eating normally..usually you are told how long to eat what you are eating
or if you are having a follow up visit to check your incisions....he will tell you then
