I recognize there ability to speak and to the intellectuals I welcome them, as do I those that truly want to know about faith whether or not it be for information's sake, however I find it rather tedious that we must deal with people who's only response is "he's imaginary"

So, from some of YOUR questions, I assume you're a politician, a cartoon (well, at least your avatar is) a homosexual and a philosopher, right? I mean, you posted in all of those categories...
Anyway, atheists don't believe in god, and atheism is not a religion. But we do believe in religions (i.e.: in the fact that they exist, and are here for a particular purpose which some of us don't like). So, on top of being manipulated by churches, we ALSO have to endure it quietly? I DO NOT THINK SO.
BTW, he IS imaginary.

If what your update says is what you truly believe, then this question should also be directed at theists who respond with the pro-God equivalent. "Because God said so" for instance.
In this case, you don't really have a problem with atheists at all. You have a problem with people who ruin discussion by their drivel. However, I get the feeling that this is not what you truly are trying to get across, in which case you should tune your question.

Depends on how far that take it.
My thesis is Hardened Criminals are the Ultimate Atheists.
They have NO NOTHING, hence you don't go up against them, especially if they are pointing a gun at you and are asking you for your money.
There is NOTHING to stop them from pulling the trigger.
No God. No Hell. No Police. No Courts. No nothing.
NOTHING is above them. The are subserviant to NOTHING.
THEY are GOD. THEY make up ALL the rules!
That is your extreme.
The MOMENT you put something above you.
The MOMENT you FEAR something, you have RELIGION of one type or another.
The MOMENT you worry that MAN will lock you in a cage, YOU HAVE RELIGION and YOU have put a MAN (or WOMAN) above you and YOU are SUBSERVIANT.
You are LOOKING UP to someone or something. You FEAR them, hence you have started to beleive in Hell.
Anyone who HESITATES to pull the trigger on a gun has a CONSICIENCE, has DOUBTS, has LACK OF FAITH in what they are doing, has a feeling that they are doing wrong by a standard OTHER than their own.

I agree, when asked that, many Atheists claim that they are here to unconvert people. They push their non beliefs on others by being insulting and judgmental...then they turn around and accuse Christians of doing that. Hypocritical huh?

This question is asked every night.
It's such a stupid question and can be answered by anyone who can read. Check out the YA rules.
Don't worry though because some charitable, loving Christian will ask this again tomorrow.

Actually, it's probably because when atheists check the page listing all of the most recent questions from all categories, more often than not, they'll see a question like this, which is either about them or directed at them. Seems pretty natural for people to want to answer a question that's about them.

Why do you have to be religious to partake in a religious discussion?
Given the fact that religion is EVERYWHERE in this country, and 80% of Americans believe in things that I don't believe, I think the least you can do is allow me to have an opinion about it.

Deal with it. Seriously. Atheists have to tolerate "you're going to hell!", Christians have to tolerate "God is imaginary". We're even.

Adam, if you were being stomped all over for years on end, would you fight or flee? Guess which one these people have chosen.

Just because one doesn't have a religion doesn't mean they don't have an opinion or knowledge on religious matters.
Plus, with so many people trying to force religion based laws upon the rest of us, we need to speak out.
Is that good enough for you? If you want a forum in which everyone agrees with you, go to a Christian website.
