Christian God? He is God Almighty of every soul on earth, past present and the future: and yes God had everything to say about the mid term elections.
God directs all of history and not a thing goes by him without His consent. Not Hitler, world war one, the boar war, or the Chinese in outer space.
I am a Canadian, I don't care for the policies of the United States Government, but I do know that I have no effect on the elections of a foreign state at all: whether I am a Christian or not. I do have brothers and sisters of my Christian Faith in the United States of America, but then I have them In Israel, Lebanon, Egypt, Germany, Russia, England, Mozambique, and even in Meaford, Ontario Canada. We are everywhere God puts us.
What ever history you know of is by Gods' will for whatever purpose He has in mind.

I am fairly sure He is not a citizen of the USA, and probably has been told many times that those of the USA prefer a total separation between the "state" and God.

Except, of course, maybe the Congress still opens with "prayer", though likely nothing as pointed as those by the Rev. Peter Marshall.

And I guess even though Bibles are not allowed to be read in schools, yet a condemned murderer is allowed a Bible before he/she is executed.

People voted, not God.
He gives us free choice - how many people do you think prayed about how they voted? Not many.
