I have long layered hair as well, and I want to blow it out like the picture.

I have a big round brush, and can blow it out straight, but how do I make the ends look this way, so wispy? With all that volume at the roots, but still smooth & soft?

Also, how do I keep it looking like this?

makes sure to apply some styling mousse in ur hair or some type of product on wet hair...then use the round bush to blow dry...and after that your going to have to use at least a 1 1/2 Inch wide curling iron and curl it outwards to achieve that look in the picture...and then ot set it all in place spray some hair spray and voilaaaa u'll look fabulous =)

You cant just use a round brush, it needs to be a thermal brush. Wide and has a metal base below the bristles. One section at a time, start at the top and always use a diffuser. Don't go all the way to the ends. Once you get to the ends you need to keep the brush on top and blow dry from underneath, curling hair sideways and upwards around the brush. Then use the cold shot buton, this will "lock" the style. This gives that flip look. Use a volumizing product at the roots, this will give you the lift. Use a soft hold hair spray and make sure you hold it AWAY from your hair. Lightly mist the bottom half, let dry a minute then finger lightly, not pulling, through for the chunky look.

Try lightly misting the ends of your hair with a hairspray. A high "hold" rating would be best, so that way you need less spray, and your ends don't become wet and stick together.

Make sure your hair is at least 95% dry, and spray. Then lightly blow-dry the ends with a cool setting.

try a curling iron after blow drying it. use the thicker size for more of a wispy and wavy look. the smaller barrel size might make it too curly at the ends. or, blow dry hair until damp, put mousse then set your hair ends in velcro rollers.

try using a volmunizing shampoo but only at the ends. then blow dry with a round brush - hairspray each section individually
