this is basically Creationism vs. Evolution

I want someone to give me solid scientific proof that evolution, im not talking about a dog growing more fur to adjust to coler temperatures, im talking like having a dog turn into a human that kind of bullocks. Really some real proof, and no "my science teacher in middle school told me it was fact"

think about the eye. it's no good if all you have is an eyeball, yet lack an optic nerve to transmit the light as an electric signal, or an occipital cortex to interpret the electric pulses back into a picture.

so how could the eye have evolved? suppose some primordial worm starts getting two black dots on its head that will eventually turn into eyes. suppose they eventually turn into eyes. he still can't see. this is not a viable mutation as it has no possible survival value or advantage over the other plain ol' worms. an eye is no good unless every other part of the visual system is already intact.

so a gradual evolving a pair of eyes won't work, since it will hinder the creature's survival before it will actually help it out. the only way natural selection favours evolutionary andvancements is through ''hopeful monsters.'' a lizard hatching a bird, a worm with no eyes giving rise to one with eyes in a single generation.

and that's another thing. what if a lizard tried to grow longer and longer scales in hopes that they'd one day become feathers? well, there comes a point where this lizard has half feather/scales, on some rather cumbersome, yet extremely fragile wing-like ''hands,'' which it can no longer use for running from predators, yet, it still cannot fly. natural selection would quickly weed out such a transitional creature.

and that's another thing...where are all these transitional fossils that had to be here? since evolution took place over millions and millions of years, right? (the earth's age is actually closer to what the bible says, anyway, as the speed of light is slowing down, and used to be much much faster in the past, according to modern quantum physics and other considerations, [see sources] so radioactive decay used to be much faster in the past, making radio-carbon dating yeild ages far too old)....there actually wasn't even enough time for things to evolve. the only way evolution could've happened was by hopeful monsters...

what about the peppered moth, mike? what about it? there's a variation in the species. what about red heads and brunettes? ;-) okay, what about the tiny 18 inch tall horses in fossil records? well, modern, wild brown horses can be selectively bred to get tiny little horses like that. yes, it takes about 80 years, but it can be done. (evolutionists tend to call this ''micro-evolution'' just to get a foothold ;-) ) what's more, regular house cats have been successfully bred with lions to produce ''medium sized'' cats. this only shows that there is a wide variance in the species, but it's still one kind. evolution states that one species will change so much over a period of time that it cannot breed with other species that have branched off in different directions.

The Biblical Creation story is only one "religious" Creation myth or story (anecdote). The writers of the Bible were not there. There are many other stories, even among the different tribes of that "mediteranean area". The Anunaki creation myth is very interesting and when one looks at it from an Iraq war perspective, it explains why all the artifacts of the Baghdad museum were not protected as they countered and "denied" many points in the Jewish and Christian Bible.

Research the Anunaki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anunnaki and you will be amazed how the flood and other biblical events are not "original" but are plagiariazed from older documents from other religions during the Babylon captivity of the Jews. There is even an "alien" aspect to the Anunaki myth or faith-based STORY.

Darwin's evolution theory is also full of holes and is not a complete theory, and as most "scientific" theories are forever changing. The main difference between a "faith-base" myth and a "science-based" theory is that the latter can change with new information and debate, and the former, as it is revealed or inspirted by God, cannot change and cannot be wrong as that would show the Divine to be "wrong" and therefore not "perfect"....That is what destroys most religions eventually.

Knowledge is "cumulative" and religions cannot adapt so have to "stand" as the oak tree until a big wind comes along and it is "up-rooted" and falls. Many religions, like the Roman and Greek pantheon of Gods went the same way. They eventually are seen to be too "wrong" or "emotional" or "mean" to be "PERFECT' and the people congregate around a newer and more "appropriate" concept.

The Bible, as it omits so many creatures such as dinosaurs and the impossibility of Noah saving all the animals on Earth today, eventually is only believed by children who don't read the whole book until they become adults or the "un-educated". It is the "profiteers" who make the selling of the myths their "business" and live off the "collection" plates and the selling of books, seminars etc...Pools of money (POWER) attract a specific kind of "salesmen", the storytellers, the entertainers, the actors, the philosophers, the priests, the theologians, etc...Many live off the continuation of the Religious myths.

We do not know the beginning of LIFE on this planet. Much less the origins of the UNIVERSE or the MULTIVERSE. But science will take a less "dogmatic" approach to finding out than faith and "revelation" or "inspiration". I would use all of them and not believe anyone of them "dogmatically"....

Hi!

God bless you...if you are looking for the truth, you will find it....

All science point to Jesus Christ to be the Lord!

PROOF:

When the following verse was written, continents had already parted from being one MASS DRY GROUND and there were no satellites to take the overall PICTURE of the CONTINENTS for people of those times to know that continents were actually ONE MASS DRY LAND on the sea:

(Get a world map, you'll notice that CONTINENTS fit to each other like puzzles...this means that the dry land was one MASS of a CONTINENT ORIGINALLY) Now look at the verse:

Genesis 1:9 "And God said, "Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear." And it was so.

Gen 1:10 "God called the dry land Earth, and the waters that were gathered together he called Seas. And God saw that it was good."

Where could the writer of this verse have known this because at the time, they did have a map of the whole world to know that at some point, the earth was made up of one DRY LAND on the sea....

Unless the HUMAN WRITER OF THE VERSE was FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT?(2 Tim 3:16)

Now the same book that features these things, also say "JESUS IS THE CREATOR OF ALL THINGS:

You asked if anyone could disprove evolution, & I can:

Animals within one species changing colour or having bigger legs in no way contradicts the Bible. When someone with fair skin is in the sun for long, his skin may turn reddish or dark depending on his natural colour. For example,a white lion turning to a normal lion.Kind of like how there's several breeds of dogs, but they're all dogs. This does not contradict the bible.

Evolution, on the other hand, is "evolution" from one species into another...(e.g. from a dog to a giraffe) IT HAS NEVER BEEN OBSERVED OR PROVEN.

Some of the things that scientists try to use to prove it are as follows: 'Rocks are in layers, so the deeper the rock, the older the fossil.' This is circular reasoning.

They are dating the rock by the fossil and the fossil by the rock. The rocks are in layers because in Noah's flood, when the dirt settled, it settled in layers with the heavier stuff on the bottom.

Another good point is that if man evolved from monkeys, then how is it that the most intelligent animal next to man is a certain breed of bird?

Also, if animal species are constantly evolving, then why are there no in-between species? no cat-dogs? no monkey-men?

If you take all the material you need to manufacture a watch and shake the material for a million years, would you one get a "watch"?

Cheers!

Jesus Loves You!

Creationism makes me sad. We live in a beautiful, elegant universe, and people feel the need to explain it with a stupid fairy tale.

Evolution is a theory. Theory DOES NOT MEAN GUESS. It is a very well supported explanation of lots of empirical data.

Intelligent design is propaganda. Mousetrap metaphors are NOT evidence for a scientific theory. Creationism has no evidence at all.

Whether god (or gods) exist or don't exist, I don't know. I don't think you should believe either way without evidence. Could god(s) have used evolution to create things? Yes. Could evolution have happened naturally? Of course. What I can tell you is that the Earth was not made in a day.

Well I have an open mind but Richard Dawkins has some interesting views.
I'm reading his latest book at the moment. Once I've finished that I'm going to read the bible, then the Quran. Once I've finished those I was thinking of trying to find the missing parts of the bible - the bits that got cut out by a Roman Emperor (and friends) of who's name escapes me.

If you are looking for "proof" then I suggest you talk to someone who knows their subject. A Biologist who knows about Darwinism, a preacher who has researched into creationism etc. The links below give you a start.... but not much. Richard Dawkins is a Biologist and has written quite a few books on exactly this subject. His latest being "The God Delusion" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_God_Delusion

I believe both are true. THE CREATOR OF ALL THINGS did make the SOULS OF ALL THAT WAS AND WILL BE from ITS OWN BODY.Then created the physical universe that we live in and some beginning plants and animals. Then let the made souls in to see what was made . some entered into the plants and animals and became so enraptured with the physical sensations that they forgot that they could leave the body and were they came from. So i one sense evolution is the regaining of the ability of the soul to leave the physical body at will and rejoin the body of the Creator.
Also the Creator started out with simple forms and urged them to evolve into more complex forms.at least until things were set to let the souls in .

Your asking about processes that take thousands or millions of year, so don't expect vast changes in your lifetime. Small changes add up.

There are fossils of long extinct creatures that are the ancestors or cousins of the ancestors of modern species.

Not as romantic, but evidence of the ongoing process, there's the apple maggot or hawthorn fly. When apple trees were introduced to North America, some hawthorne flies started eating apples. The population is now subdivided into hawthorn based and apple based groups that have distinct genetic characteristics. Their predators are likewise diverging.

When it comes to that topic there is not enough space on this thing to tell my views on them. To let u know I believe in a mixature of evloution and creationism. I believe once God created the Earth he left things evolve into what that they are today. Yes that Means I believe we came from an ape-LIKE creature (not a monkey) Like science says it was different from the rest of primate family. Trust me my view is really to long to type out.

If you are a Christian, you accept the Bible as the infallible word of God. That includes the story of creation as found in Genesis 1 and 2. The story is presented as fact, and is referred to other times in the Bible as fact. The evidence for Evolution is far less conclusive than many people would lead you to believe, and light-years from disproving the biblical account.

Fellow Pagans (or anyone), please let this sweet soul understand the duality of the question. I mean some solid facts on the origin of the bible and proof of the man floating in the sky. To the asker...I am not saying you are wrong. I am opening your mind with a crow bar.
