I told my boyfriend I loved him after only being together for 3 weeks, we had not yet defined that we were "together" yet, but I felt it was the right time to say it, beacuse I meant it. Does this seem a bit early?

1 year, 3 months, 2 weeks, 4 days, 17 hours, 45 seconds

The right time is when you mean it, which is what you said. It still may be to early for him, that is a chance you take.

In my opinion, definitely too early. My boyfriend told me that he loved me after 5 months of dating because he felt it was the right time. I think that 3 weeks is just rushing things and could potentially scare the guy off.

Honestly it really depends on the people involved and the way the relationship progresses. My now fiance and I were saying it very naturally and comfortably within a week! I mean...it really doesn't have a set time. If it felt right, then it was.

It does seem a bit too early. It sounds more like infatuation than actual love.

However, if you felt that hte time was right then the time was right for you. Don't be ashamed of that.

No not at all. You should say it when you feel that you mean it. It doesn't have to be after one year or one week. As long as you truely mean. It. I wish you all the best in your new relationship.

No. It should be said when felt. That way you can cut your loses if the other person is not on the same page.
