There's a Muslim in Congress? I wasn't aware. That's pretty cool. I hope religion stops being such a driving force in politics. It was never meant to be.

Maybe I'm the only one who failed to see the religion that was in Congress before. Although Republicans are more prone to use the word "God" and quote the Bible, their actions rarely reflect Christianity. Hopefully, however, with the rising diversity, we'll see some positive changes, a focus on humanity rather than theology.

I don't think so. I'm a Christian and a democrat. you can be both you know. a few of the Democrats that won last night have very good values. not all democrats are evil. and Just because a person says they are Republican does not mean they are any better at being a Christian then anyone else

There are always going to be religious changes, no matter who is in Congress or Senate, or for that matter, the President.

One can HOPE that there will be more freedom for ALL religins with the republicans and their fanatical, oppressive, tyranical, bigotry out of the way...but I'm not holding my breath....politicians are politicians and eventually they all come to be more concerned with congealing their power than with serving the people they CLAIM the are there to serve.

It will not surprise me if it becomes illegal to preach certain truths from the pulpit. And when that happens I will gladly go to jail or whatever for telling you about my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I hope so. It would start bringing the country back to the freedom it stands for.
