I'm paranoid that i'm going to cause an awkward situation. We've known eachother for about a week, and I don't want to screw up, i guess. (This is for a high school show, so it won't be oversexed or anything)

It's very different. You don't feel the emotional connection that you do when you kiss someone you are romantically involved with. It's usually a very awkward feeling at first, but if acting is something you want to do, you need to get used to this. If both of you are professional about it, then there shouldn't be a problem. Try talking about it with the other person beforehand. Remember that it's theatre, so the emotion isn't real, just like it isn't real if you were screaming at each other in a scene. Once you get past doing it the first time, you'll find it gets a lot easier.

It's called acting and there need be no real feelings in it. Just a plain closed mouth kiss is what the teacher directing the show wants and expects. Act like you have done this on stage before and be mature about it.•

depends on the people ,if two people in love kiss on a stage ,it would be hard to keep it distant
but between regular acting thousands of people manage to survive stage kisses,
dont worry ,better concentrate on remembering your lines.

Listen, Zud. If you are doing this on stage, that means you are an actor. Get over it for Christ's sake. If you are paranoid, you shouldn't even be on stage, let alone acting in a play.

Why don't you talk to the person you need to kiss and see how they feel. If you're uncomfortable then fake the tongue kissing.
