I have that problem too. I periodically scrub them with apricot face scrub or a loofah sponge, keep plenty of moisturizing lotion on them and avoid kneeling down without putting a pillow or pad down first. My sis sells Mary Kay and she just told me how great the Satin Hands scrub and lotion works for dry heels, so I am going that on my knees tomorrow.
I wanted to add some info for you.. My mother has the exact same type problem on her knees. She doesn't really use anything on hers and hers are darker than mine. She was told years ago she had a mild form of psoriasis. I however have Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome and this is also one of the known symptoms or side effects of PCOS I also wanted to let you know that I did get a chance to use the Mary Kay Satin Hands set and it does make them look better and feel smoother. I used it on my feet and elbows as well and it has helped considerably in just a few days.

You can't really cure dark knees, or dark areas of skin. Unless there's a laser treatment somewhere, but it seems like such a waste.

Anyways, most darker-skinned people have dark knees. You can try to lessen the appearance of any gunk that gets trapped in the skin folds there by scrubbing daily and exfoliating a couple times a week, but other than that, dark knees are normal!
