Maybe you're optimistic that things might get better. Alot of times when we anticipate change we're more hopeful. Even though I hate these political polarities I identify myself as democratic. I feel good about the election results but am keeping my fingers crossed and hoping things will get better.

I think that it is because your don't have to worry as much as to which party is going to win. You know the out come and feel better even though you don't like the outcome because you now know what you must do to help you party suceed in the 2008 election. Also you now know that the democrates have to show what they can do to keep control. They can't just bash the republicans for what they did. To keep in control they have to have some kind of plan. They can't just go along with no plan and bash the republicans. They know if they want to stay in power especially for the presidentcy in 2008 they have to take responsibility and show what they will do. If they don't suceed then the president will more than likely be a republican. They can no longer talk. Now they must do to keep power. Can they do that I hope not. I am not for one party or the other but I am a consertive and so far the republicans have a better plan. People were just tired of the republicans and what they weren't doing. Hopefully this is a wake up call!! We will see!!

I am a republican too. I am feeling pretty sick now because I know what the Democrats have in store for the country. The last few year, despite having majority in both houses and the president they still managed to loose their base. This is because they didn't listen to their base and do something about illegals, they pussy footed around with the war effort instead of going for a decisive quick win. However the economy is booming, interest rates are down, housing market is great, unemployment is very low. Just watch how all this changes for the worse now.

There is such a thing as "mudslinging". Gets to become an eyesore as well as a pain to the auditory system. There's no right, or wrong, to either party. I just depends upon the special interest groups that made the largest campaign contributions as to how things will be run.
