Anything but a Dodge/Chrystler/Plymouth van! I had a Dodge Caravan that was nothing but problems from day one. When I took it in for service at a Dodge dealership once, the guy there told me the best thing to do would be abandon it on railroad tracks. I was never more relieved to get rid of that piece of junk! I have talked to many guys at repair shops who say Dodge is nothing but garbage under the hood.

I have nothing against mini vans in general. Pros are plenty of room, so they're great for families. Cons...well, since they're big, they're also harder to park and easier to crunch into someone you didn't see there. And it takes a lot longer to heat or air condition than a regular car, even a station wagon.

We just traded our 2005 impala in for a 2005 Mazda MPV last Saturday. I LOVE it! We have a 97 caravan, but we are hoping to get rid of that in the spring since it is old and we don't trust it anymore.

The MPV is really nice though. Dual sliding doors with windows that roll down. Climate control in the back for the kids, LATCH hooks for carseats in the captain chairs (which slide together to form a bench if needed) back seat folds flat into the floor. And I can control the radio/cdplayer volume and tracks by the buttons on the steering wheel.

I always said I would NEVER drive a minivan, but with 4 kids, there isn't many options. lol It doesn't drive like a van though, it drives really smooth, almost like a car really.

I currently have a SUV (Toyota RAV4) but as soon as I find out I'm pregnant, I'm buying a minivan - I have my eye on the Toyota Sienna, I just love it! It's big, great looking, functional, and I love the side doors and how the side doors now have roll down windows. The list of pros goes on and on.

I have a Kia Sedona, seats 7, and since there are 6 of us, it's a tight fit. Once you get everyone in, there's no cargo space, and groceries get packed in around the kids. I don't recommend it if you are needing to use the back seat. Also, getting into the back seat is tough, you have to squeeze between the 2 bucket seats in the middle.

I like the new Dodge Caravan the middle bench seat is a bit shorter on one side for easy access to the back, some of them the middle seats fold down into the floor when not in use (Kia now has this feature also), some that don't have that feature have cargo space in the floor. Plus I like the way the Dodge's look.

But I've had my Kia for 5 years now and it's done right by me.

i have a 2000 Mazda Mpv and i like it alright. i do miss being able to put three baby seats in the vary back of my old 1993 Aerostar. The Mpv was the safest we could afford. if I had more $$$ i would've got a Honda Oddessy or a Toyota Sienna they have the best safety records in a variety of tests.

The pros are: slightly better gas milage than an SUV, easier to put kids in carseats in and out of, and generally more seating capacity.

yes i like it! i really cant think of a "con" of my minivan. REALLY. ok i have a 2002 chrysler voyager. about the only con is I should have gotten the "grand" voyager with the extra foot or so of space in the back. i have to stuff the double stroller in. fits tho, just could use the extra space.
