That through His teachings, He was able to make followers aware of the difference between right and wrong, good and evil by working on their conscience.

The real question is "What is sin?" Is sin this idea that the church has spent thousands of years creating to scare us into doing good things for the community etc...? This is a real question I've been battling having been raised Catholic and broken out of it just recently . The church has made me feel so guilty for doing so. And I know that it must not have been right because feelings of guilt are never right. I'm not trying to disrespect your beliefs cuz God knows I don't have all the answers and not many people do. The Bible was written by human hands divine inspiration or not. There may be error and it is all up for interpretation.

The whole passage in context John 15:18-27 lets us know that when we have Christ, we have light and truth that sets us apart from the world, spiritually and physically. This particular verse Christ tells us that his physical presence was to fulfill what was written in their law (vs 25) so that no longer would be ignorant that they were in sin, but would be quite aware of their sin and know the true resolution for it. Since Christ came, fulfilled the law, and is the Truth and Light, then we have no excuse to live in our sinfulness, so we have no cloak or excuse other than we want too. To clarify the living in our sin, John 3:17 & 18 will give very clear definition of the sin that we are now fully aware of.

In John 15, Jesus is counseling His disciples about how they will be treated. He tells them "If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you." In other words, all the hate spewed right here on Yahoo Answers stems from the fact that people hate Jesus Christ.
When Jesus came and confronted the wicked people, and exposed them for the hypocrits they were, they could no longer hide it. The law has a habit of shedding light on people's lives, and suddenly they are shown their own sinfulness.
There was a time when God made exceptions for people who didn't know any better (Acts 17). But once you have heard the gospel, you are expected to obey it.

In Islam the biggest sin is disbelieve or polytheism. so God sent thousands of prophets to correct people's believe . why?
before God created even Adam he knew everybody's destiny, meaning hellfire or paradise << If he was to create mankind he without this earthly life, he would put the sinners in the hellfire and the good one in paradise with total justice from him>>.
so what would happen?
the people of the hellfire will protest that they have been injustice or a mistake and that there is no proof of their guilt.
so if we understand that , we would know that this life is only a proof for or a proof against anybody in the day of jugement.
in Islam we know that thre is an angel on the right side of everybody who write only the good deeds done by this person / and an other Angel on the left side who right the bad deeds of that person. In the day of jugement everything written will be the proof of his works done in this life. this way the person is guilty.
< there is more witnesses and other things but it is better to ask about them.>
the Quran state that God said << I didnt create mankind and devils only to worship me >>
also God says < I will forgive anything, but to worship others than me > for that is eternal hellfire.
the message is easy, but many are deluded, misguided and misleaded.
All the prophets were muslims. why?
because they all surrendered to the will of God
and followed the commands of God.
moses didn't preach judaism, nore jesus did preach christianity.
you don't find christianity in the bible. if so what is the religion of Abraham?
the word Islam is mentionned in the Quran by God himself.
now try to read your verse again:
John 15:22
If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin. Now, however, they have no excuse for their sin.
jesus said if I had not come and spoken to them , ( he didn't say
If I had not come to die for them.....)
only a deluded one will interpret this verse in his way, God is not the author of confusion, God said in the Quran that jesus is a word from him meaning < be and it is, like he did for Adam without mother>
jesus is alive and never died on the cross, they took another one, because God is capable of miracles. from this we understand that the story of the cross is real, but what is not real is that jesus was on it << read the bible again and again , look at the words from jesus not from other authors, because the bible was written after de depart of jesus >>
I hope this message will push you to make more research and may God guide us altoghether to the truth.

Here Jesus is talking about the Scribes and Pharisees who openly accredited his miracle of casting out demons to be the work of Satan and had therefore committed the unpardonable sin which was blasphemy against the Holy Ghost. IN order to committ this sin there must have firstly been a two fold heavenly witness which there was.Jesus had said that he was the Son of God (first witness) he stated that the works where the works of his Father in heaven (2ND witness) and despite such positive proof that he was from God which they knew in their hearts that he was they still publicly denounced his work as being from Satan. This left them with "no cloak" (covering) for their sin (forgiveness)

I once asked (as a child) about the people alive during Jesus' time who lived so far away from him they would have never heard of him nor about him. My pastor said something to the effect that they who have not heard are not guilty because they have the ignorance of a child. Childlike.

Light reveals darkness, Jesus being THE LIGHT exposes who they are and that they are able to see that they have disobeyed Christ and rejected Him, it is a sin, for now they are accountable knowing what is Truth;

Those who do not Know The Word of God are not bound by it... that is not the cause of damnation any way... it is rejecting God that keeps the sinner from claiming their Salvation... Jesus is God... they now have The Word, through Jesus The Christ, whether they accept or not... they have the chance... The world can not say now that it did not Know.

Having given them the truth (knowledge) in evangelizing as to how to be. If I knew the truth of your compass being broken on your boat and I told you and you set out to sea and got lost, what then would be your excuse?
