I have been plagued with heartburn, leaky gut, constipation, reflux esophagitis and dyspepsia for years and nothing conventional medicine has offered really helped, at least not in the long run. By following only the first step in this book.

I was prescribed Lansoprazole which was brilliant but after two years of aching joints, extreme muscle pain which the doc gave me cortisone jags for, with some research I discovered the drug Lansoprazole was causing these rare side effects but it was I who diagnosed it NOT my doctor, I came off the drug 2 months ago, changed my diet and discovered just eating an apple stops any acid reflux, I eat an apple before bed, brilliant no acid, any time I feel the slightest sign of reflux I simply eat an apple.

Apple juice is not that good nor is anything else I have tried including honey at stopping reflux.

I used to be hooked on junk food, Tums and Pepto Bismol. I had suffered badly from severe acid reflux, chest pains and bloating to the point when I begged my doctor to be hospitalized. https://tr.im/GetRidOfHeartburn

Take a teaspoon of lemon juice.
Edit: If you take an alkaline such as baking soda, then your stomach will try to counter it by creating more acid. More often than not you just increase your problem this way. If you take a little something that's acidic, however, your stomach will stop producing excessive acid, which would have been more acid than if you didn't take a little something that's acidic. And stop giving people thumbs down that know what they are talking about.
My advice is good advice. So is any advice that suggests taking a little something that's acidic, such as vinegar. I suggested lemon juice as it doesn't taste as bad. Taking antacids and baking soda is counterproductive.
Edit2: Drop dead, people. If you don't know the answer to a question and are just going by old wives tales remedies and what you've come to believe, then do people who ask for serious advice that is dependent on knowledge a favour and don't answer. Have you ever tried what I'm suggesting? No. All you are going by is what you believe to be true, not what you know to be true.
And stop giving people thumbs down that know what they are talking about.

Heartburn to me is caused be two different things. First is STRESS. When I get stressed out I get heartburn. Second is when I eat too much of the things I like. Drink alot of water, it will help you burp and you will wash out the toxins in your body at the same time.

Apple cider vinegar should do the trick tonight.
Peanut butter will nutrilize acid too (and actualy tastes good unlike alot of these sugestions). My friend's doctor told me that one.
Do you get heartburn often? I have good cures for long term heartburn problems too. email me if you need more help.

I am a severe sufferer! If you are without antacids, or acid blockers, eat some bread. This helps absorb acid, especially if it is so bad it's actually bubbling up into your throat. When you go to sleep, keep your head propped up higher than your chest. This will help the pain. Eat a cucumber also.

Baking soda is "very" effective...
You Will be surprised at how fast it works.
Use a teaspoon to a half of a glass luke warm water. Make sure it totally dissolves.
After giving you the hype on baking soda, I certainly hope you have some.
It really does work and it works relatively quick too!
