From a teacher's point of view, students certainly behave differently in single - sex classes. I am a male teaching high school classes, and I have found that girls are more likely to be discipline problems when there are no boys in the classroom. Boys are a little rougher in single sex classes, but are not distracted as easily. All in all, I'd rather teach classes with both boys and girls. This is just the result of my personal observation.
