remelt it the next day, it's for a recipe and I relize I don't have all the ingredents for it, so I have to finish it tomorrow, or I could just throw the butter away.

You can keep it. There will be some liquid on the bottom when the top becomes solid in the frig. When you reheat this it will be fine to use.

No, don't throw it away. It will solidify and you can remelt. If you add a little water and let it sit, the resulting hard mass will be clarified butter, good for a myriad of things. Just throw out the water and milk solids (it will look white and scummy at the bottom of the container).

yes it will go back hard you can do it quickly by putting in the freezer for a min. and then put it in the frig. but make sure you wont need the container for a while that the butters in

If you are referring to margarine instead of butter, as many margarine users do, then the same applies. The only difference is that the yellow coloring, which is artificial, will seperate out of the margarine. It's still ok. The color is just for looks.

yes, it's good for re-melting, but using as reformed solid there will be salty deposits in different places. So it won't be as smooth as the original form and it may taste a little too salty.

I don't see a problem with it. I've done it before, if I have more then I need, I just stick it in the fridge and use it for something else.
