You don't say what kind of chili you are talking about. I'll guess you mean chili (salsa) you can add tomatoes, that is how to calm chili down. If you mean chili as in con carne add sour cream, cheese, tortillas flour, drink milk, or eat bread. I hope that I have been a little help.

Add some water to lessen the spicy taste but don't add too much water so as to make it runny. You can also add water and tomato paste which which rethicken the chili and also take some of the the spicy taste away. Try adding some brown demura sugar as well. That should do it.

Serve it with a little dollop of sour cream on top and have them sir it into the chili. Like most dairy products, sour cream contains casein, which helps chill out the spiciness of the capsicum in the peppers used. Sort of like drinking milk when spicy foods are too hot.

Add 2 cans of beans to your chili, then adjust seasonings to the kid's liking.......Pinto or black beans would be best, rescuing chili that is too spicy is a cinch.......oh, and do as the others said, add a little sugar till the spiciness has waned......

I haven't tried it yet but I was told recently that it you put to much hot spices in something to cut an apple in half and let it simmer in the pot for a while and it will remove some of it. Hope it works.

Put less spice in. If you already made it though, serve with stuff to cut the heat. Rice, cheese, sour cream and crackers will work.

Add some raw potato to it and cook it. Add some more liquid-beef broth and more tomatoes.

sugar won't do much for it.

Any bread or crackers you add to it will help but try the first two.. add the liquid and then the potato. It works!

Next time take some out for the kids and then add the hot stuff.

Any dairy product offsets the spicy oils from coating your tongue.
I especially like adding sour cream to my over spiced chilli. But you can add butter or milk as well.

1) Peel a potato and put it in the pot - remove before serving chili.
2) Add some catsup to the pot.
