When I voted yesterday, in one race I felt that I was voting for the lesser of two evils. What I meant was that I didn't like either candidate (they were both "evil" although I wouldn't choose that strong a term but I voted for the one who was not as bad as the other one.

This often happens in life when you cannot do without something or someone.

I had to handle a delicate situation like this patiently for almost two years when I had to depend on my assistant to gain enough experience. He was very efficient but created a lot of problems for the organization I worked for.

Finally, when I asked for his resignation based on written admission of his mistakes, he became vindictive and vicious. This is the risk I had to face because, right at the start of my appointment I was briefed by my boss to get rid of the troublesome assistant as soon as possible.

Having to choose between two evils happens at all levels in business organizations and government.

Some day, you may make a decision based on the question you have asked.
