Please explain to me why you are certain that God does not exist.

I refer to a broad definition of God to encourage you to avoid basing your response on a criticism of modern religions.

I am so sorry that you have a terrible disease or that you are born with a defect. But consider this... You have to be God's child before you expect Him to answer your prayers. And even then, there is no guarantee that He will answer your every prayer.

Before I became a Christian, I used to think it is OK to abort a baby just because one knows he/she will be born with defects. Would you prefer having not ever been born because you have defects? If you do, please consider the beauties of this life, the people (though they are sometimes the ugliest part of this life), the nature, the space, the intellect. Things that you would never be able to experience were you not every born.

God promises that He will answer His children's prayers, but even then, only those prayers who are in His will. Thus, did He not take the "thorn" out from Apostle Paul's side, though the righteous Paul prayed over and over again for it.

Consider that you may be just like Paul--Present in this life with a painful "defect" but yet so much in peace, in a kind of peace that the Scriptures describe as "the peace of God, which transcends all understanding" and that "will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

I have lost my own biological father (my Heavenly Father is Christ Jesus) when he was only 37 years old, and some people do not ever have the chance of knowing their parents... Yet I often thank God for His provision, for if my dad never died, I would most likely never have met my wife among other things..

Good can and does come out of what seems as "evil" in this life. Many can testify to the previous statements. But even more importantly than the testimony of many, is God's own promise. His promise is that His children will spend eternity in a place called heaven, within the total presence of God, where there will be "no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain." Read Revelations Chapter 21 verses 1 through 5 for yourself if you like.

I could say many other things but I will stop for the sake of brevity. My ultimate hope and prayer is that both of you will become God's children, through what Paul calls "the renewal of your minds" and put your trusts firmly in God. Only then will you be able to inherit God's eternal riches and His peace which transcends all understanding. And only then will you be able to stop focusing on the various physical limitations of this world, and start proclaiming:

33 Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!
34 ' For who has known the mind of the LORD?
Or who has become His counselor?'
35 ' Or who has first given to Him
And it shall be repaid to him?'

36 For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.

No I don’t know exactly how the Universe was created, I can’t know and as I understand time and physics the knowledge is unobtainable. Then again, people used to think that you couldn’t travel faster than the speed of sound…before that people thought that if you went in a car faster than 30 miles per hour your head could be broken off…. and before that people never thought they could move as fast as something like a horse.

Mankind learns, he evolves, he gets smarter and he gets better. The bible is frozen; it can’t evolve, change, or get better because the ignorant people won’t even admit that it might have some errors in it. I guess I just know too much, and knowledge is a dangerous thing because it can make me ask you questions that shake the foundation of yours or anyone's "faith".

No, I'm no longer without doubt certain that God exists. But I'm a Christian. What different choice is there? In different phrases, whilst I recollect all of the choices, that is the MOST fair option, even supposing it falls quick through 15% or so. I'm eighty five% (+/- five%) certain that God exists, no longer one hundred.0000000% . It could be without doubt strong if even one million% say they're ABSOLUTELY certain that God exists!!

2. Whoever invented candy corn.
3. Most of the people on Yahoo.
4. The Problem of an Omnipotent/Omniscient entity.

...and that's just 4.

If god were real, I wouldn't have to wake up every morning being stuck with a disease that's been called "a doctor's worst nightmare" and doesn't have any cure nor treatment whatsoever.

I prayed and prayed for years starting from I was 12. Do you know what all that prayer go me? Not a damn thing.

That alone is proof to me that there is no god/higher power/whatever....

I see the Universe as being "infinitely old", meaning it never had a beginning. If it never began, then is was never created. It has always been around. We just live in the most recent cycle of expansion and contraction. We humanize things in our lives, from pets to the Universe itself.

You can't prove a negative. Since there is lack of support god exist the default is he doesn't. It's like Aliens, in the ET sense, you can prove they don't exist because the possibilities are infinite, you can only prove existence by finding one.

So a natural god in place of a religious one? That pretty much defines my beliefs exactly.

I never saw him .
He never answered any of my prayers
I never heard him
Never felt him enter my heart, even when I was a gullible child.
He let me be born with a defect .
He let others belittle me because of my defect.
He never saved me from heartache .
He never let me find true love
He never was REAL.
