The other people who answered thus far have nothing on me!...My girlfriend and I are from a small town with not much to do but there happens to be a casino about 15 minutes away from us which is not exactly a good thing. She has a bit too much fun there! We started just going to get out of the house and do something...playing blackjack just for fun as most of the people and the dealers there are really talkative and we always ended up having a great time...until we went through thousands of dollars...you see my girlfriend developed a little bit of a problem. We would be down quite a bit already and I would say ok lets go but the response would always be "I'll get it back baby, just give me time." There is never enough time, let me tell you. Overall right now we are in to that casino for almost ten grand and I promise you we are not wealthy people who can afford to be doing this! I know when to stop...when it stops being fun and becomes a problem...as long as you can recognize this and teach yourself when enough is enough, the casino is an absolute blast! Just be careful! (Just for anyone who is wondering...we don't go to the casino anymore...not even just for fun!)

On a scale of 1-10, I'm about a 7 as far as getting caught in the excitement. I'm usually able to pull away but it is often a struggle. It's fun, I can't help but enjoy the sounds, sights and people.

OHHHHH...so funny you would ask this question as I am currently in Las Vegas on a business trip. I brought along $365, fully intending to just blow that and not expecting to win. I was down to my last $160 today and managed to get that up to $400. But did I quit???? NOOOOOOO...I got greedy and kept playing and ended up with $120. I played a bit more after dinner and got that back up to $140, but I could still kick my butt for not quitting when I was up $400. But you're right...I got caught up in the excitement and was trying to hit the Cash Fever for the jackpot of another $600. That's what I get for being greedy. :(

I usually limit myself to a roll of nickels, or a roll of quarters if I have the money. I just see how long I can play on that. Then I'm out of there.
