Naming a child is important to both parents. Even though his grandfather may not of been the best person maybe he was a good grandpa. One option is to use his name as a middle name. Or rearrange the letters so he feels like his family is in the name. (tho i do agree with you, i would have a hard time using that name if that is the kind of man he was)
I love faith and hope for names. You can do some of those together like Brittney faith…hope Olivia.
We thought we were having a girl and we picked out Abigail Mae (Abigail is my grammy name mixed up because my husband hated the name, and Mae is his grandma name) But as it turns out we having a boy.

You are right. A person only deserves to have a child named after him if he led a good clean life. So that makes Byron out.
Boys: Timothy, Royce, Carson, Dallas, Denver, Walker
Girls: April, Tammy, Emma, Roxanna, Star, Talia
For a middle name I have always liked Lynn. It matches any girls name. And Adam for a boy.
Pick what you like but make sure it is not to strange and that it matches the last name well. Your child will go through life with this name and you want it easily recognizable and easy to spell. Too many kids gro through school getting teased.
Have Fun and Pick Well

The girl I like Olivia. I know that that name is starting to get very popular.
I think that you both need to meet in the middle with names. Maybe since you like Brody and your hubby wants Byron, you should go with Brody Bryon. Even though that is what is grandpa is, doesn't mean that ALL Byron's are like that.

I think Olivia Faith sounds nice together. You could make your son's middle name Byron to make your husband happy, then you pick the first name. Though I don't think Brody would work with Byron.

Name for children always something which parents choose must have a deepful, beautiful, good meaning, because they also show hope and pray of the parents for their children. So natural if you refused to use the name Byron. I think I like name Olivia for the girl, it gives the feeling of soft and beautiful. Faith also beautiful and strong meaning. I like the name : Stephanie, Jocellyn, Josephine, Crystal, Joy. For boys, I like the name Lucas, you can give Nathaniel/Christian/Matthew as middle name. Hope you can find good names for your child! Congratulations!!!

For the girls names, I like Olivia Faith together.
For the boys name, maybe you could do Lucas Byron? I don't know. I wouldn't want to name my child after someone like that. But I do prefer Lucas to Brody.
Good luck and congratulations!

Girl names-----Maycee..........Madilyn..........Madison..........Lila
Marcee,,or Marcelene..........Jonie(Joan ie)
Boy names.........Taylor, Matt, Kyle, Colton, Jake, Luke
...I understand about the name Bryon, so maybe it can be a middle name..?...It's only fair that husband wants to share in naming child...........(Plus keep in mind that for some reason the name Bryon will carry on and be the best person his father couldn't be) maybe that's in the back of his mind.....Maybe your husband and new sons relationship can be better than husband had with his father! Just a thought Good luck

I agree...it would be detremental to the child to learn they're named after a drunkard who beat his wife and ran out on his kids.
A name for a female that I personally really like is: Justice Alaunna
