that happened to me once i liked a guy(lets call him x) and i secretly told a friend of mine that i thought x was cute. four months down the line i get a text from x asking how i was and asked me to go out on a date. we met for that date had a really gud time and he told me that he liked me the first time he saw me. we kept intouch for another 2 weeks and after that i have never heard from him again.i felt really bad coz i never knew what turned him off. at times i wonder how it would have been if he kept in touch. i am glad it happened like that because i would never have met my bf whom i love very much and he makes me happy.

I'm in the same exact situation...
What I think has happened is that he might be feeling a bit intimidated by you. He's probably questioning himself as to whether he deserves you or not. Or maybe just wondering whether or not you like him the same way he does you. I'm going through the same ordeal but it's really hard for us guys. Especially guys who are actually sweet, shy, and considerate.
I guarantee you if you open up to him a little more smile and start a conversation. He will appreciate this and you'll never want to let him go and he won't either.

Oh God. I had this happen to me WAY TOO MANY TIMES.
I really... I really do know how you feel.
I just take the hint that they're not interested anymore.
I just get the whole "Well screw you hippie" attitude.
It's their loss. They don't know what they're missin'.
It really is frustrating not knowing why they just stop talking to you outta nowhere. They just weren't man enough to be direct with me. It's pathetic.
I had guys talk to me, flirt with me, take me out, then just start ignoring me. Either right away..... or eventually. Too many stories to tell. And it hurt not knowing why they did this to me. I always thought it was me. But it wasn't. I'm just a jerk magnet. If it was something wrong with me, trust me... I would've figured it out by now. And you too. You'll know if it's you.
And then years later, some of them would even apologize to me. That was considerate of them and I appreciated it. And other guys... well, they just continued on with their lives. One of them even had the nerve of calling me up a couple months later after completely ignoring me (our last phone call ended up with him saying "I'll call you back later".. he never did so I never called him... to hell with him). Well, he called when I was with my new boyfriend at the time (the one I'm still with). I never talked to him on the phone. He didn't deserve hearing from me. But let's just say my boyfriend had fun talking to him LOL. :P
Anyways, you'll feel a lot better without the jerk.
Especially when that one guy who proves to you that not all guys are the same comes into your life ...
: }

I haven't had it done to me. But, I've done it to someone. I felt trapped and uncomfortable with them. I liked him as a friend and I feel as though he got the wrong impression from me. I enjoyed his friendship but, didn't want a relationship. At first I ditched him and I eventually explained how I felt to him. Of course, he was better off without me. Because he moved on and met someone new and is very happy.

I let them be, find a new friend and later they'll come out of the dark apolagizing and i dodn't even mind at all.
Everything would turn out fine, just play along with them.

I met the person i wanted to spend my life with; she walked away saying she "she couldn't have it both ways". I've been in a funk for a yr and half. I still look for her car in my drive way.

most likely they have a crush on you. they've realized that they really actually like you, and now are nervous.
