It depends alot of people on here I think really do need some questions answered and sometimes I ALMOST feel bad when I give them some smart a s s answer but then I think about it and say a stupid question deserves a stupid answer and as for the flirting half of us are hundreds of miles away from each other so as much as you might want it to be real in truth it's not it's usually all in fun, did that answer your question?

Not sure what you're talking about, exactly. However, I can vouch that some people here really do want to help. I, for example, love Psychology and the such, and I have a fair share of knowledge in this stuff, so I'm here to help everyone with their problems. I know some people do mess around with their answers, though.
By the way, it's pretty easy to tell who is serious or not. So, all the "flirting and perversion" is probably done by 11-15 year-old kids that have nothing better to do with their lives. Us more mature people are actually here to help since we have some free time. I like to answer questions during commerials on TV. Heh.
Err, back to the question: Yes, some stuff here is serious, yet some of the stuff here has no relevancy at all and is just people having fun. Sorry for rambling here.

I can't speek for everybody on this, but as for me I take it very seriously. If you want to get something back, you also must put something out, and this is the way I have fun. See we live on a very bad world, and me as a person can't change anything, but me as a person can plant the seed of change, while leaving it up to the kids today to go in the right path. Moreover, I can always use some help.

Well Zigzag, you can only take this sight as seriously as the questioner that's responding and the asker that is posting. It is our job to decipher between the insightful and the douches (which is pretty easy). You, on the one hand, are reliable for the insightful (just ask yumyum). The majority, however, mirror the sad state of society and humanity as a whole: less than intelligent, less than courteous, and less than classy. Unfortunately, people's asinine answers frequently serve to bolster my ego and treat me to a self-indulging giggle. When it comes to real answers though, this sight is usually less than stellar and less than consistent.

I have answered a couple of questions from teens that I felt were quite real regarding suicide. Majority of time though is just fun and trying to give people advice that seems reasonable. Far too many youth and pre-teen kids on here though.

I think a lot of people do it just to meet people and have fun, but a lot of people do it for real advice, too. It just depends. Most of the time you can tell by the question or answer, though.

You are looking into this thing way too deeply. Yahoo Answers is meant to only be a place where you can ask a question and people will give you answers. Some good, some bad.

I see a lot of serious questions on here...people in need of advice/opinions and people too lazy to look things up themselves...
...and a lot of nonsense questions (like you seem to post) that have nothing to do with anything...
Anyone who takes stuff on the 'net too seriously, needs help...however sites tend to be more enjoyable when used as they were designed to be used...

Mostly fun and games, just like why are you here? I find it to be entertaining but I would never try to give advice to anyone when I thought it might be harmful.
