Sometimes they are hereditary and the only thing would be to mask them, choose something non-medicated and apply to the very top inside of nose near the eye, something whiter than your skin tone, this gives the appearance of brighter eyes and should detract from the bags. Yellow toned cream under the eye may mask the darkness. The under eye area is very thin skin so what you are seeing are the veins etc, sometimes a detox can help this area, add loads of fruit and veg to your diet and the two litres of water daily (should be filtered or mineral) cut out caffeines (choc has them too) and remember if you diet you need to add more water to your diet. If you use your ring finger when applying any treatment to the area (as you're least likely to apply pressure with this finger) pat in as this sometimes helps the circulation there ie put the treatment on the ring finger and pat in to the orbital bone area, this is the bit where you can feel your bone. Never apply moisturising treatments any further near the eye than this as this can over saturate the eye area and you end up with baggy, puffy eyes, and your mascara won't stay onlike it's supposed to.

This is a sure sign of Griebaturism, very rare, but I have come upon it before, not here in England but while touring the Keys in Florida, one of the islands is called Marathon, there they have a family who are called the Griebats, this family have been inbreeding for close to three centuries, in some severe cases namely one in France shortly after the first world war, they hung Herbert Montaray Griebats, thinking him a monkey, sounds crazy I know. The condition of Griebaturism manifests itself by way of covering either parts or in rare cases all of the body with excess hair. I would suggest not considering building a family as the horror of bearing a chimp like child to be too much to bear. Lots of luck to you

Over-the-counter products may help diminish under-eye circles. Look for skin creams that contain vitamin C or K, alpha hydroxy acid and kinetin. Treatment for chronic and severe under-eye circles is directed at the underlying cause if known and may include bleaching agents and laser therapy.

It could be a vitamin or mineral definancy...which means you should check with your doctor.

It could be skin irration, which is what I had as a child, even now. I have to watch the shampoo and conditioners I use in my hair, because the wrong ones can have the results you describe. I find the fruit and herbal based shampoos and conditioners work best for my skin irritation.

use vitamin E cream every day.
also, use crushed grape juice to your skin as a toner then apply the vitamin E cream. It will take good few months to get the full benefit. but never give up. keep using it.

It's just because the skin is so thin here that it appears to be dark. Only thing for it is a good concealer i'm afraid!
