God is one God whose name is Jehovah, Jesus is His Son whom He created in the beginning, and the Holy spirit is God's active force or power He uses to accomplish His will.

It is claimed that several Bible verses support the Trinity. But when thy are carefully examined, they offer no actual support. Such texts only illustrate that when considering any claimed support for the Trinity, one must ask: Does the interpretation harmonize with the consistent teaching of the entire Bible—that Jehovah God alone is Supreme? If not, then the interpretation must be in error.
We also need to keep in mind that not even so much as one "proof text" says that God, Jesus, and the holy spirit are one in some mysterious Godhead. Not one scripture anywhere in the Bible says that all three are the same in substance, power, and eternity. The Bible is consistent in revealing Almighty God, Jehovah, as alone Supreme, Jesus as his created Son, and the holy spirit as God's active force.

God is Spirit. The Spirit of LOVE. We needed a redeemer so God put His Spirit in the virgin Mary and came out Jesus The Christ, The Redeemer, The Savior, The Life, The Way , The Truth, and so on......Jesus is God In a human body to hang on the cross and die for our sins,sicknesses,burdens..It took blood to redeem us,not just any blood. Adam sinned so God had to do this Himself. The redeeming blood could not be contaminated with sin. God did not have blood until Jesus. He paid the price for us. The Holy Ghost that lives in us is God also. Yes Jesus. Jesus said if you see me you see the Father. It is hard to understand because it is spiritual so without the Holy Ghost you can not understand it. Get to know Him and then you will know the Truth.

The way we get to know people is to get to know about them personally more than just what they look like. Everyone has characteristics. If someone asked you about someone else you would say something like; Oh they are nice, they are honest, they are hard working , things like that that describe who the (person) is. Most things that make a person a person is stuff you can't see with your eyes it is what we call our personality. Well with Jesus what we have is God who we can't see in the form of a man. The man you see is a true real man but the (person) is God Himself. If you were to lose your whole body and only your mind was left alive you would still be who you are just your body would be gone. Same with Jesus He is the person of God in human nature. You may have seen a movie where 2 people change bodies and sort of become each other. Very funny. One person gets the others body. In one movie a boy and his dad traded places so you had the dad in a boys body and vice versa. So it is the spirit or person that makes up who you are (personally) and in the human body of Jesus was the person of God Himself.

Well, one of the most basic ways is something I read in "More Than A Carpanter".
First of all, Jesus lived. There is proof of that, and if you believe that any of the other historical figures (Caesar, Alexander, Marc Antony, etc) lived, then you should believe that Jesus lived as well.
Secondly, historians (not JUST the Bible) described Jesus and what He taught. Jesus Himself said He was God.
After that, there are only three options. He was either: 1) A liar, 2) a lunatic, or 3) exactly who He said He was.
If He were a liar, would you think that He'd renounce everything when it came to the crucifixion? He was told He'd go free if only He would renounce the claim that He was the Christ. It would be pointless for a liar to take His claim to death, what would it prove? So that's out.
If He were a lunatic, how did He perform all those miracles (they were real, historians also recorded them)? And it was obvious that He wasn't, He preached strong messages and had amazing perception and calm intelligence.
The only option left: He is God. It lines up. There were MANY eyewitnesses who saw Him after He rose from the dead (though it's still debated anyway), and so many things happened just as He said. It's the only reasonable belief. Anything else is just denial.
I hope that helped.

There is one God and yet three Persons (Isaiah 45:5; Deuteronomy 6:4; James 2:19). The doctrine of the Trinity is a mystery that no mortal can ever completely understand. Finite (you and I) cannot drink in infinite (God) As the famous theologian C.H. Spurgeon once said, this is like "a gnat attempting to drink in the ocean." For example, consider a rainbow. There are three primary colors (red, yellow, and blue) that make up one entity, the rainbow. Without one of the colors you don't have a true rainbow. You have the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and without one you don't have the True God.

There is ONE God.
God is Omnipotent; therefore there can be only ONE God.
Since we have limited (finite) minds we can not understand the infinite. So God reveals some things to us (some, directly, most through the Word).
There is ONE God; He has revealed that He eternally exists as three "persons" -- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Father is God, The Son (Jesus) is God. The Holy Spirit is God.
If you have five men and boys, you can say that are all males. They all have some things in common.
There is the Trinity; three "persons". They each have different roles; but each of them is God. They have ALL things in common.
Even something as simple as ice, water, and vapor. They seem like three very distinct things; yet they all have the very same essence, H2O.
Genesis 1:1 -- In the Beginning, God ....
St. John 1:1 -- In the Beginning was the Word (the Logos, the Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Yes, in His human form or manifestation.
Why did He do it? That's a question with many correct answers. The most important reason God did that for 33 human time years, was to live a sinless life, then give it up as a perfect blood sacrifice to....Himself.
He made the game, and He showed us how to play the game. He didn't just sit up there in His big God-sized Heaven and TELL us how to live. He got up and did it.
Explain to your friend that God is love in a way that no one else could ever be, and He is worth getting to know.

Not quite, Jesus is God. Jesus is the word of God made flesh.
I would explain this to one with no religious background like this.
God is the creator and giver of all life. God's word, was in the beginning. God's word spoke to Adam and Eve, the first man and woman created by God. God's holy Spirit impregnated the virgin Mary. All are God. Look at it this way. You are you, you are also your word, and you are also your spirit. Not 3 of you running around. Not 3 distinct persons. Only ONE you. And so it is with God. This is how we are made in HIS image. Remember that no one has seen God's face. There is only ONE God.
In the beginning was the word, and the word was God, and the word was with God. When Jesus was born, the word was with man.
Jesus said I and THE father, are one. Not MY father, THE father.
We are ALL sons and daughters of God, for God created us all. God's Word, Jesus is the Son of God, because he was born, but because He is the Word of God, He could not be born naturally. He had to be born of a virgin. (Mary). No human has ever been born that way. (Or rather, CONCEIVED that way). Therefore, Jesus, the Word, was NOT human, not half human, ALL GOD.
His conception involved God's Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary. No intercourse involved at all. The Holy Spirit is God, because it is God's spirit. And yet, Jesus didn't proclaim the Holy Spirit as His Father, but God as His Father. WHY? Because, the Holy Spirit IS GOD. And so is HIS Word, Jesus.
The word of God, or God was here on earth to SHOW man this time, through example, how to gain back eternal life that was lost in Eden. Adam and Eve were barred from the tree of life, AFTER they had sinned. Not BEFORE. WHY? Because they already HAD eternal life. But when God had said that when they ate from the knowledge of good and evil tree that man would surely die, they had to be cast out of Eden, and the way to eternal life was blocked off. Now man dies, because God's word is always true.
The word of God came this time, as a human with human flesh, to show man what to do, and how to live their life on earth, in order to have eternal life in heaven, after an earthly death. This is why the word had to die. So that He could be resurrected.

The bible speaks of 3 different God's.
God the Father
God the Son
God the Holy Spirit
Yet, One God
Each play a different role, each are God.
I heard it best explained as Thinking of God as a Last name. You have a last name that you share with your family. If someone calls your last name in your family, all turn around, right?
The Hebrew word for God was always plural. Read Genesis 1:26 - And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
"Let Us", God said, Us. The word is Eloyiom, spelling might be a little off. Hebrew word for God.
Another Good scripture woud be, Matthews 3: 16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
There was 3 God's Present. Jesus can't be all. God the Father said he was well pleased with his son, and the Holy Spirit was on Jesus like a Dove. They agree as one. Eloyiam* possible wrong spelling.
