they aren't motivated to die for President Bush necessarily. they're willing to die for YOU. To protect the freedoms and democracy that you take for granted every day. A soldier joins the military in order to serve and protect his or her country. They're not doing it because they necessarily WANT to die, but it is a risk that they are more than willing to take. They do it to keep you safe.
Next time you see a military member in uniform at the store, at McDonald's, or whatever, you should thank them, because even if they aren't in Iraq, haven't been to Iraq, or probably won't even go to Iraq, they are still making a huge difference in your life, and you don't even realize it.

Country- that means our chidren; mthers; fathers; sisters; brothers; families; friends; Farmers; Factory workers; Truck Drivers; Ditch Diggers; teachers; preachers; students; doctors; lawyers; Homeless; Poor ; rich; middle class; wives; husbands; Immigrants; Pro Athelets; Yahoo; Google; Microsoft; Politicians; Congress; THE HOUSE; The STAFF the PRESIDENT and lets not forget YOU!!! debra_lee, why don't you learn what you're talking about before you answer any questions about the military.
American soldiers are motivated and willing to die for our country, not for President Bush. That's what has made our country so great.

To add on to what the majority of respondents have already said here. US servicemen to not swear allegiance to any man or president. They swear allegiance to the US constitution. So, as long as those orders are within the limits of the constitution(and I know plenty want to debate whether Bush's orders have been), then soldiers must obey.

An American soldier is willing to die for the right's and well being of Amemerica, and its citizens, something you will never be. Who I call my commander in chief has little bearing on me.
I hope you and your family enjoy your freedom and the right to spread stupidty.

They're not willing to die for President Bush; they're willing to sacrifice their life if necessary for their country and DEFEND it. Name a cause so great that you would be willing to sacrifice your life for. The thing is, THEY MEAN IT and they are very proud of what they do.

Because they aren't doing it for president bush there doing it for you, for me and for their families. Be thankful someone is willing to stand guard at the frontier of civilization. Without them there is no civilization just a jungle where the strong take whatever they want from the weak.
