Don't you think it's time we stop answering foolish questions by atheists?
They apparently already know the Way to Salvation and have rejected it numerous times. We have already done what we can for them. Don't you feel it is time to "shake the dust off our feet" and turn our attention to those who are looking for honest answers and guidance in their lives?
Why continue answering questions from those who have little to no respect for anyone but those who believe as they do?
I have seen many atheists say that they want us to leave them alone. Since we have already done as God has asked by sharing our beliefs with them, and they have, over and over again, belittled us and our beliefs and rejected our message, I think it is time to give them what they ask,and let them to themselves, and turn our attention to our fellow Christians who need help and anyone else who is sincere in their search for answers.
Of course we should continue to pray for them.

Red : I have always had strong faith in God,but it has been reaffirmed and strengthened even more since coming to this site. I do have the atheists to thank for that. And I do like answering atheist's questions, but it is foolish to debate someone who is just trying to make a target out of you. If you ask a serious question and are willing to respect the answer you get, then I see no problem with answering that question.

Moiraes Fate : You may think I am being condescending and rude by praying for you,but I am only being the person God wants me to be. Wether you believe and accept it or not, prayer is actually a good thing, and I do it out of love and concern for you.

Well...I usually only answer the questions that seem serious...but you are right. Sometimes I get provoked into answering questions that have no point. All it does is get me angry and hurt my witness. We need to be careful what we say, and who we bother answering.

All an Atheist is someone who has not yet found his or her truth. You need to be loving and accepting of this search for their truth. Not judgmental and defensive like many so-called Christians are. Many who think of themselves as atheists just have trouble believing that a god that is supposed to be unconditionally loving could ever allow someone to be judged or punished.

This is a logical question that more Christians need to seriously consider.

A question you might ask yourself is why does this search the atheists are on bother people so much?

If their own faith in what they believe in were strong these things would be irrelevant to them. There must be something about their belief system that they are uncertain about or the questions these atheists pose would not be troubling to them.

Think about this. It is the real key to finding the peace you seek on this issue. The insecurities we have do not originate external to the mind that believes in them. Remember this and it will help you.

Trying to understand is a good first step.

Love and blessings to you.

God will give you the right words at the right time, we should not presume that we need to explain to anyone every question that is asked of us. A lot of the questions here are just down right disrespectful and rude but hey Jesus told us that they would hate us. We still however need to show them love, and forgiveness. This is the will of God, Just as Jesus forgave us while we were still blind we need to love those who are still blind. Pray for them yes but continue to answer foolish questions NO he did say "do not throw pearls before swine" didn't he?

As human beings, we are endowed with reason, free will, and the freedom of choice. But, these faculties should not lead us to misconstrue life's true meaning as what has happened to some who considered themselves as the masters of their own destiny. For us not to be misled in the search for our reason for being, we ought to be wholly centered on God who is the real source of life. The Bible says:
"After all this, there is only one thing to say: Have reverence for God, and obey his commands, because this is all what we were created for." (Eccl. 12:13, Ibid.)

Let God be the absolute judge for those who do not believe in Him. God will ultimately bring every deed into judgment including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil.

If it's the same person over and over again asking foolish questions, I just don't even bother anymore. There is nothing I can do for them.

The others I answer ... hard as it is sometimes lol

Don't ignore them. Tell them once and let them decide, don't beg or argue. Shake the dust. Have the right presentation. Check out thewayofthemaster.com. Later Mike

Ok... apparently you don't understand the definition of atheist either.

Atheist=NO GOD.

That means they don't need salvation.

And stop being so condescending and saying "I'll pray for you". No one wants your prayers but you. What they want is for you to stop being so rude.

Edit: Then be your OWN person, not the person someone else wants you to be. Not even your God. It's a sign of weakness to base your entire existance on what someone else wants you to do.

your point is well taken

It's true Jesus said you shouldnt throw your pearls before swine..
and as you say there is a point where you shake the dust off your garments...but you also need to speak the truth in love..

and it takes discernment
