Well, actually no. You will not get sick from the eggs, but there is a slight chance you could catch a bacterial infection such as salmonella, but very unlikely. There is no real good reason to eat raw eggs, we used to drink them by the glass like you are talking about all the time and never got sick or anything. The drawback is really this; eggs are probably the best source of protein because of the unique combination of Amino Acids which make up a protein molecule. However, a human being cannot digest raw Biotin, one of the essential Amino Acids. Therefore, you are depriving yourself of getting the full branch chain of amino acids and not getting the full protein molecule digested.
If you still want to drink them to show off or win a bet or something, go ahead, they won't hurt you at all.

Yes it is safe-ish. Nothing is completely safe, all raw foods can carry food borne illness.
It is safer to eat raw eggs from smaller farms, it is safer to eat eggs that are not washed prior to being sold. Eggs have an antibacterial coating that can be destroyed by washing.
Either way you should wash the eggs with soap before cracking them. Do not eat eggs whose shells are cracked when you get them/take them out of the fridge. Generally most contamination is on the outside of the egg.
Eggs in North America are very very carefully watched to prevent contamination. If an eggs were regularly contaminated people who eat runny eggs would probably be falling sick all over the place.

Some athletes eat raw eggs as it was an old fashioned way of training them. Now it is not recommended due to the risk of salmonella food poisoning. I don't eat raw eggs on their own as I find them disgusting, but I love to eat raw mixture such as cookie dough =] Hope I helped! Me eM

It is kind of funny b/c when I was a kid we used to may an orange Julius type of drink w/ a small can of orange juice concentrate, milk, egg, vanilla and ice and it was great. No one ever got sick from it. And I had (have to find!) a fabulous cake recipe that has raw egg in the icing. Again, no one I know has ever gotten sick from eating raw egg.
But from what I have seen, sometimes big grocery chains are not as concerned w/ refrigerating them quickly when they get them. So I always get them from a grocery that has high standards.

That many eggs could be dangerous. While eggs are pasteurized, it sometimes does not eliminate all bacteria native to the eggs and the more you consume, the greater your chance to come across such bacteria. Though it is relatively safe to sample cookie batter that contains raw eggs, drinking nearly a half dozen of them is fairly risky. You could contract salmonella or even E-coli by doing that.

I wouldnt although people do and why they would even want to is beyond me with all that nasty slimy stuff running down your throat and doesnt even taste good. along with the risk of salmonella contamination. egg shells have micro cracks which allow harmful bacteria to enter. always make sure the eggshell looks dull and not shiny. also always throw out any egg that is already cracked when you open up the carton . something else you might want to know . it takes 4 hours to digest a whole egg because of the fat content. so if you like fat a salmonella hey knock yourself out.

Okay first of all... EW!
Eating raw eggs or meat is a good way of getting food bourne illnesses. I know a lot of mousse recipes have raw eggs, but it's not recommended. ESPECIALLY if you are pregnant.
Drink milk.

No, raw eggs can contain bacteria. You'll end up with stomach cramps, diarrhea, and probably vomiting at worst.

No. For one, that's so gross you'd probably puke all over the place, so make sure you do it over the kitchen sink. For another, you'd be exposing yourself to a possible Salmonella contamination. That would be bad.
