if we called the name god, or we calling the one that created the heavens and earth? In the past, there were other gods (idols). What is the creators name?

The one and only creator of heaven and Earth's name is accurately; Yahweh, meaning I AM in Hebrew. It could not be Jehovah, because J is only about 500 years old in the English language. The word of God, made flesh, is called, Yoshua.
Jehovah and Jesus are English translations of the names of God and His Word. The idol worshipers used to call a stone statue, with the head of a dog, their god. There are religions today that still do this. But aside from it being a commandment, that we should NOT worship these things as a god, or falsely say that they are in some way the one God of all creation, a stone statue had to BE made---by man. A stone statue, can not create anything.

The preface to the New King James Version Bible indicates that before scribes began using the name Jehovah as a substitute for the name of God when transcribing scripture, the earliest refrence that they would not copy from the original, out of respect, is YHWH. This is called the Tetragrammaton and it is the original form of the name Yahweh.

Names are arbitary at the best of times. The creator has many names depending on the era and tradition. Ultimately I don't think the name matters as much as the relationship and repsonse to the creator and creation.

Actually, I don't believe anyone has ever or will ever (in this life) know the name of God. His name is holy. I think the Jews are close when they don't use the letter o when they spell His name.
They have a law that says if His name is mispelled or used wrongly, it is sin. Even erasing doesn't help. Word processing correction is still up for debate.Therefore, they don't take any chances.
But I think they are wasting their time being so careful with the title, "God". It isn't His name. And all the other names of Him listed on here are also titles, just in other languages.
I guess you will have to settle for only knowing his title, too. As long as you speak it with love and reverence and humility, He knows who you are talking to.

Did you just get here? Psalms 83:18 in the KJV bible it is Jehovah. In the back it tells they took out the name because they were superstitious. Other languages it is pronounced differently
yahweh is Hebrew which it was originally written.
It says that under Y in the concordance in the back of the bible.
Jesus is english Jeshua is Hebrew

YAHWAH is our creator's true name dating back to the 20th century BCE.
The jewish religious leaders at that time changed last A to an E because they did not want the people to say the true name of our creator because it was to holy for lowly people to say. and that is where yaweh comes from,which is not the true name of our creator.

Your point rather should be "What is the creator of the creator's name?"; as far as I know it has no answer.
