After I wash my hair and it dries, I can't smell the nice smell of the shampoo, like I can on other people. Why is this? My husband can't smell it either and I can't smell it on him. I've noticed other people that retain the smell of the shampoo. I would like to, too.

You're probably not smelling the shampoo on other people's hair (after all, it IS rinsed out).... it's most likely their styling products. Styling products commonly have fragrance in them. Like my Schwarzkopf Bonacure Repair Sealed Ends? Wow, it smells like freshly shampoo-ed hair, a really great clean smell. I bought it for the smell alone. (Okay, yeah, it works as an anti-frizz treatment too.)

the smell dries out after drying, don't worry abt it just put a perfume on ur body & it will smell good, after u shampoo a subtle sweet smell is left on ur hair of u sniff it closely & u can try shampoos wid nice smell, but i suggest when u buy shampoo u rely on the quality of it more dan the smell

You get use to the smell. If you change shampoos you will be able to notice it the first couple days. I've oftened wondered why this happens to me, but this is the best guess I've got.

If it smells like nothing, that's the best it can smell. All that shampoo and perfume crap smells terrible. Count your blessings.

sometimes enviorment plays a role
.for example you are in a car in which someone is smoking.....soon your hair will smell like tobaco.
if in your house there is some kind of smell.your hair will absorb that.
a good conditioner with fragrance can help you.

It may be your water.

The harder the water, the harder it may be to keep that smell. Also, check the mineral content in the water.

I had that problem until I moved to a location with softer water. Now I smell purty.
