an employee @ my work was diagnosed positive with tuberculosis and they say its contageous.

The Health Department may ask to come and test everyone at your work anyway, but don't worry about it unless you start feeling unwell.

Crazy contagious. They have antituberculine drugs out there. Make sure you go to a doctor, this has to be taken care of. I'm surprised that the office did not warn everyone, or have someone in to assist all of you.

Yes, TB is contagious but generally contracted from someone you have close and frequent contact with. Here's a link that should answer any questions about the disease...

it's really not that contagious, but it is spread by air-borne particles when a patient coughs. You will probably have to have a PPD to make sure you weren't exposed. Lots of nurses have positive PPDs from exposure, but they never develop the disease
