I got a ticket in VA, but I have an AZ drivers license. If I don't pay the ticket, can VA suspend my AZ license?

Most likely your licence cannot be suspended, depending on whether you were going fast enough for it to be an indictable offence, but, it will not go away. If you move, it will prevent you from exchanging your licence, if you go back to VA, you will be subject to arrest, which can be uncomfortable if it is a Friday evening and you have to cool your heels in jail until Monday court. If it doesn't cause your AZ licence to be suspended, it may cause it to be non-renewable. Not to mention a default conviction will be entered, and your insurance company will know about it anyway.

They will suspend your license. The DMV share a common computer system. I saw it first hand a couple weeks ago. A woman was applying for her SC license and they would not issue it because her license was suspended in NY. She had to contact NY and get it straightened out before they would issue her a license. It would be easier and less painful in the long run to just pay the ticket.

They subject a bench warrant which does 'no longer' have a statute of obstacles. Then end being concerned until eventually you get pulled over and a NCIC verify is accomplished. Then your warrant seems and the locality you're in will probable arrest you, take you to penitentiary and subject a recognize charm on account that maximum states won't extradite over this variety of small volume. you will possibly then be provided a settlement which might contain high-quality, courtroom fees, secondary high-quality for absconding and processing costs plus his license replaced into suspended for 6 months. final guy or woman i comprehend this occurred too have been given the value ticket in Oklahoma and amassed in Louisiana. the unique $seventy 5 value ticket value him very almost $3000.00 with attorneys costs and the fines.

Don't worry, It will all catch up to you. With the computer system, its only a matter of time before they catch you. Question for you, If you were caught speeding with an out of state license, they didn't make you pay for the ticket right there, through my experience I've always had to pay for it right there or go to jail. Just curious thats all.

you'll get burnt. they will suspend your license and come take your tags for your car.

here's a tip though...pay the ticket via mail...but...send them like $2 more than the ticket is. they will send you a check back for the over amount. Throw this check away...shred it what ever...they don't send the information to the DVM until all transactions are complete..so you don't cash the check...it don't go on your record.

Nice trick huh.
