It pretty much boils down to 2 choices: 1) At this point, you might try a hair trim and extensive conditioning regularly from a professional stylist or 2) get a really cute short haircut and start over, if all else fails. Only time can really cure damaged hair.

I like using Pantene Pro-V Smooth and Sleek leave in treatment along with the Smooth and Sleek shampoo and conditioner and John Freida's hair Serum step 2 and Condtioner Step 3. OR you can use Palmer's hair products olive oil or their leave in hair succes treatments. Or just get it done at the SHOP every 2 weeks :D and make sure they trim it now and then.
It seems to work for me :D
Good Luck!

there are conditioners that will seal the hair shaft so hair will look healthy, but nothing other than cutting the dead ends and styling it properly will work. Trust me, I had to do the same thing. I ended up cutting off 6 inches but my hair is growing back fast because it's healthier.

Seek professional help, my lady. It might cost you a little but going to a saloon i think is what most ladies do. THey might help you with your problem. My sister is using "HOT-oil" products for her damaged hair. You can buy products that has the same content i guess... Good luck!!!! My hair is real short by the way, so its not difficult for me to manage... no need to straighten up or something....very practical for an active guy like me!!!!

I have used a really good shampoo from L'occitane (French Brand), I have been perming and dying my hair a lot and it really helps repairing, it's a bit pricey though, you can check out the information here: http://beauty-tricks.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&Itemid=99999999&id=324
Also, I add a deep hair treatment to my hair every week and it helps to get my hair smooth too, I use both commercial stuff and home remedies alternatively (depending on budget hehehe), you can check out some of my recommendations:
