My mom usually makes these DELICIOUS candy cane cookies. It is just sugar cookie dough but you dye one pink and the other is just white. You roll them into little tubes and twist the 2 colored doughs like a candy cane. They are cute and delicious for christmas. Also, the traditional sugar cookies with christmas shapes and frosting :)

My mom and I have this tradition, she's done it with me since I was a baby. Each year we make 12 dozens or more of sugar cookies. We cut them into trees, angels, bells, etc. When they cool we frost them blue, red, yellow, and green. Sometimes we get fun and mix the the food colorings. Then we wrap them up in tins and send them to friends and family. Its a great gift, everyone loves them! And its good mother and daughter time around the holidays!
Any sugar cookie recipe works. Over the years Mom has changed our recipe, so really its our own. We don't even use it anymore!

merely because you are able to freeze cookies for 3 to six months, would not propose you ought to. The greater energizing they are, the greater useful they are. I consistently bake my cookies the day previously i'm giving them. have confidence me, there's a huge difference between a clean cookie and one that has been frozen for 6 months. yet, in case you ought to freeze them, i might wait until after Thanksgiving to do it.
