The simple answer is because God is the only thing that is eternal.
A rose is beautiful, but has a very short life span. It is here but for a season for us to enjoy.
This is true of all thngs created by God. We are all here for but a season and to be enjoyed while we are here.
If God put someone or something in your life for a season and it is now gone, remember to thank him for the short time that you were able to Love and enjoy it.

God does bring us things and people in our lives that make us happy. He is a God of love and longs to give us our hearts desires.
There are many reasons why a person dies and leaves other ppl or runs off and abandons ppl. A person may day early due to bad health. after use of abuse of smoking, drinking, not taking care of ones self, there are consequences, and others suffer as well. Sometimes ppl leave us and abandon us. Its because of sin. So is eating unhealthy, etc. None of this is God's desire for us. But, ppl bring death and destruction upon themself by all the sin in their life, and often hurt innocent others in the process. As long as there is sin, we will have pain. But, God promises to get us thru it. Only in heaven, will there be NO MORE TEARS.. Lets just be sure we are all there. Amen

We can't know the reasons that God has planned for our lives but we do have choices. Let me tell you a true story about God's love for my sister and me.
When we were children, my Mother was divorced from our Dad and eventually started dating a man that she and my sister were crazy about. Our Mom finally stopped seeing him and my sister was angry at God for a really long time.
We are elderly now but she just recently revealed to me about her anger at God. I had to tell her that God was so good to her to have stopped that relationship because that man had molested me during the time he was dating our Mom and she would have been his next victim.
Therefore, be glad that you were in a loving relationship but don't despair that it ended. Every ending presents a new beginning and it is up to you to choose to make it better than the one before.

Universal Laws - once you understand them life changes. God loves you - and if a situation, someone, or circumstances do not support your highest good, they crumble. If countries, people, politicians, leaders took into consideration this concept the world would be a better place.

To have loved and lost is better than to never have loved at all.
Cliche but true. Things and people pass through our lives constantly, most only for a season rather than forever. What we do during that time is important.

I think I know why that box of chocolates I loved disappeared d:O)
Seriously, I don't know but sometimes the things we love are bad for us, like the box of chocolates. Its part of our nature to love what we don't need and hate what is best for us. I know that God has taken a few things from me that were bad for me, but I loved them. I won't bore you with the details but if you knew you would understand that it hurt when it happend.

Only God knows. Maybe it's to test you. Maybe when you got that thing you fell in love with you did bad things and forgot about God. So maybe he took it back.
