Jesus isn't asking anyone to do what He Himself did not do.
He died a violent, bloody death, so His personal spiritual power
could purge our world of negative spiritual energies.
Likewise, we must shed OUR blood, (personal power), of all the
pain and negativity within. For these things cannot exist where
Christ will take us.
I've heard all the Lies, Excuses, and Justifying, by those who
twist the Word to convince themselves they will not suffer!
I say again, the DAY is fast approaching that many
"believers" will CURSE God!
And many "unbelievers" will be on their knees
before the Lord!

Aren't you just a bundle of laughs! Jesus died as a ransom for Adam's sin, a perfect life for a perfect life. He died to give us the opportunity to have a loving relationship with our Creator. Those who avail themselves of that ransom are blessed. Those who set themselves up as judges need to give their position some thought.

If a person really believes what Jesus preached and does those things that Jesus said do, they will be persecuted and the people doing the persecuting will be the very religious of different denominational churches because they know in their heart they are not doing all that Jesus commanded.

Look who killed Jesus, it was not the pagans or the Roman Government. It was the religious Jews that got offended by the things he taught. The religious leaders of his day are the ones who demanded Jesus be crucified.

When I was a Christian I suffered persecution from the denominational churches and now that I am Wiccan, they leave me alone because I am no longer threat them. My beliefs now do not make them feel they are wrong.

It depends, is it a religion or a relationship. The "I'm a christian for the one-way ticket to heaven" approach is a lie. There is no such thing. these people are decieved into thinking a couple of words can bring eternal happiness. It isn't true. You must make Jesus "Lord". to answer your initial question: yes. but then again most "christians" aren't really christians.

crucifying the flesh is a painful experience...we are to be " living sacrifices" that means we don't always get our way..but indeed I look forward to the prize at the end of the finish line!
